6 Nights Accom, 2 Adults & 2 Kids, Harbourside Resort Gold Coast for $379

40

I signed up for the $5 credit last week on this website, don't think I will use it on this deal but i though I would post this for others to see. It doesn't seem like a bad deal for a self contained apartment.

Voucher can be used until 23 December 2012, not valid for use over the Easter or September/October Holidays. Does not say anything about the June holidays so i guess those dates are not blocked out.
Can have more guests at extra cost.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has stayed here before (rated 3.5 stars), it seems like a reasonable place to stay for a cheap family holiday if you want to get out and spend your money on the Gold Coast attractions rather than on accommodation.

Their website doesn't list any "Executive Suite" within it's accommodation types, so it would definitely be "Buyer Beware" as to what you will actually get!

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g495002-d549569-Reviā€¦ gives as many 'terrible' rated views as both 'Excellent' and 'Very good' combined :/

  • Seen it on grabone before says the same wording.

  • $379 a week!

If you rent a townhouse or house for a much longer period, it will cost you more.
    So Good deal!

  • Just be aware that this is located at the "poor end" of Southport, there's some less than desirable addresses in the surrounding streets and suburbs. Last time I worked in this building there were a lot of students, single parents, and similar, renting semi-permanent rooms as well.

The general condition of the building is not the best, I suspect they don't spend a great deal on maintenance. It's also on a very busy section of the Gold Coast Highway, so expect plenty of road noise. On the up-side, it does have nice views of the Broadwater.

If you're expecting to walk to tourist attractions, the beach, restaurants, bars, or night clubs, you're going to be disappointed.
