Cheapest RRP for 2021 so far it seems. Bunnings, Officeworks and Harvey Norman have Battery and Wired for $128 RRP. Bunnings & Officeworks have synchronised prices to avoid price beats against HN. Doesn't appear to be cheaper elsewhere as RRP.

Pay attention to the expiry date as they have a 10 year life span.
I got two from Bunnings built October 2020.
Waiting on 3 from Good Guys online hopefully new stock but may not be 😔How many do you all need? lol that's an expensive set up isnt it. $5x120 = $600 for smoke alarms? I know you can't put a price on safety but yeah…
Yeah but to provide coverage in various living areas. Actually need one more for the garage as well.
If I compare cost, $30 for a decent smoke alarm, $30 for a carbon monoxide alarm, $20 for a Xiaomi nightlight = $80 and then it means fitting 3 devices per living space.
Yeah. My three from TGG this weak were from Q4 2017 manufacturing. Took them all back today. Bit if a rip of to have a 10year product and 4 years gone already. Plus would have been gen 1
Where can you find manufacturer date?
Someone else posted that you can tell from the barcode number on outside of box. There's a week number followed by year. Mine said xxxxxx5217. Meaning dec 2017
Great, thank you. Two I got from Good Guys were 3919 and 4319.
@scallywagmcgee3: Got 421903.. which corresponded to OCT 2019. This was right.
@scallywagmcgee3: Did you keep them given the age? I got 3 from Oct 2019 today 😔
@0 0 0: I got them for $116 each from the good guys so thinking I probably will at that price.
@scallywagmcgee3: Yeah I probably will too because I cashed in credit card points for a gift card to pay for them. Will see if they will do a partial refund
@0 0 0: Took them back. 4 years from 10 is too much
@tpenthouse: Yeah 4yrs is bad. Good guys just told me to return to a store once lockdown ends.
I was still waiting for the outdoor IQ cameras to arrive in Australia, it's only been a couple years and then they discontinued them.
Let's hope we get the 2021 rangeThey are not coming- apparently new cameras on the way for 2021
Do these have a 10 year battery life so they are legal in QLD?
No definitely not the battery only models
I cant wait to hear about people dying because their internet connected smoke alarm decided to do an update or something.
Does everything really need to be "smart" these days?bugger. Bought 2 for $149 from OW on Monday. Check packaging - if it has Google logo, it is a recent one. Dont buy the one with the old Nest logos.
Its nice, but not really integratable in to any smart home. I have mine running via HOOBS on HA, I guess Homekit will work too. But not many options to anything with those alarms
OW in WA dont have much stock of the wired ones (have not checked battery ones), so I ended up matching OW at TGGAnyone knows if they do price difference refunds if their own price dropped within 7 days?
Hoobs?
Hi all. Am wanting a couple of these in Victoria - are they legal with the standards etc? Thinking battery as they're easy to install.
Thanks in advanceOnly if you already have battery models installed. Newer houses must be wired with battery backup
Discount doesn't seem to be on Harvey Norman
Is this model being run out in preparation for the third gen or something?
