I remember getting the plain ones for 2 bucks after christmas one year. Best boxing day sale ever.
Authentic Australian made, hmm.
This is available in some stores for $7.
https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/886483/kos…Turkish made, not a sugar load like the Aussie made.
Not sure why you were downvoted because the one you linked (Koska) is the real deal. Anything else (even Greek made ones) has nothing to do with real lokum. Pity it's not being sold at any Woolworths stores around me.
A heap of others on sale. I'd say the $7 ones are price matching supermarkets.
Rose Flavour $7
Pomegranate Flavour $7
Mix - Strawberry, Lemon, Orange $7
Rose with Milk Chocolate $8.18
Rose with Dark Chocolate $8.18Great deals but the handling/ dispatch time is a bit rough.
Heap of them just went on backorder so the stock was already low.
Fair enough, prices are reasonable enough if willing to wait.
any opinions on best flavours? gonna try out rose and the strawberry lemon orange
Rose and mix are always good.
Stick to rose

How can an ozbargainer go past this? 11 dollars a kg.
Can probably get it cheaper are a local store too
What makes it authentic ? Made in Australia rather than Turkey …
The recipe perhaps
"Authentic" is just a marketing gimmick
Founded by and run by a Turkish family for 43 years, based on the recipe of the founder's grandfather who was a confectioner in Turkey. That's probably authentic enough right? The business was sold in 2017 to Harding Confectioners:

Don't be that guy.
Betty doesn't sound like a guy …
I think I saw these a few months ago for like $6 or something at my local Woolies. Bought a box to try and it wasn't too bad.
They had like a massive crate of em. Then last month saw em again for like $2.75 (clearance).
Think they're all gone now lol.
edit: Woops. I was wrong. They're rose/pomegranate/mixed flavours. Not the same.
If you are after Authentic Turkish Delight that is made in Turkey, then you need to try Hafiz Mustafa. Most popular Turkish delight company in Turkey, which are now also available thru their distributor in Melb.
(My back ground is Turkish and trust me when i say best Turkish Delights in Turkey if not the world)
Tamamda kardeşim buradı dünyanın parasına satıyorlar lokumu. Kovidden sonra billetimi alırım adam gibi lokumumu yerim orada.
Turkiyedede ayni fiyat. Ortalama 99TL+ kilosu. Plus delivery etc
Maalesef buradaki lakumcuların lokumu tutmuyor. Hafız Mustafada olmasa, gittiğim dükkanlarda kalite gayet memnun ediyor insanı.
Totally just did a broden
