I love these guys, but it's been a little bit of a disappointing experience this time. The coffee tasted a little off in the last 50% off sale. Did anyone else find this?

      Yes same here.. Very bitter

You guys got your coffee? I'm still waiting.

      • Got half the order.. Hope the other half will still arrive

I tried their decaf - usually I find a good decaf as enjoyable as non-decaf, including self roasted, but this has a weird sort of sickly sweet taste - I'll play around with it, see if I can get something decent out of it, then dump it if not. That's $165 worth at normal prices.

Also received 2 weeks after roast date which is a week too long for my liking as simply less time to get through it before it's dead, and also vacuum freezing is best as fresh as possible.

Anyone you could pass it along to instead of dumping it?

I sometimes give the courier a kg when I order a few as he's a coffee guy, but would find it a bit weird giving something away which I've found is no good. Plus we're in lockdown, and he's the only person I see, lol.

          • @Janko: Fair! And from a neighbour down south, hang in there

      • I usually really like their decaf!

    • I was unhappy with the sunset blvd blend. Overly sour tasting. I won’t buy again even at 30-50% off.

  • does not read well :(

Placed an order, received the wrong item, haven't heard back in 10 days now. Hard to recommend them.

This! I ordered four packs chose them all to be grounded and I only received one pack as whole beans. I don't understand how much more incompetent they could get. Very much unrecommended.

      • I ordered a bag of whole beans and got a ground one… maybe we got each others order! But agree, no response or help in getting the order fixed up! Very disappointed.

Same here. Received wrong order sent them an email and no reply..

Hopefully they improved their servers from their last sale lol.

Not wasting my time with these guys anymore.

Also note they haven't updated their website to show their brewing equipment out of stock until click on the link

  • They’re far too slow to dispatch orders compared with many other roasters, and they don’t send shipping updates to keep you across order progress either.

Orders do eventually show up but if you need beans in a timely fashion look elsewhere.

There many great roasters around these days that do consumer sales better, so I think Inglewood’s recent EOFY sale may be my last purchase with them…

Still waiting on my order from the last sale and no response to my message :(

Have always had a good experience with them.

I think the EOFY sales pushed them over their usual limit so I'd say give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm pretty sure they got "Ozbargained" considering how slow their website got a few hours into the sale.

They do need a better customer service team to manage comms at least I'd say.

Recent EOFY sales must probably be one of those times where the marketing team/person/manager goes "I think it's a good promo idea" and never discussed preparing for the onslaught with other parts of the business so now left the rest of them trying to catch up.

  • I bought the six pods and they are not strong at all! And I'm using two pods!

Made an order during their EOFY sales bought four packs received one. Don't recommend these guys at all it seems like they have sales every friggin month aswell.

Just lodge a dispute through your online banking

  • Wow. I had a brilliant experience with these guys. Absolutely loved the coffee, sand didn't wait too long for delivery.

I ordered during the EFY sale with delayed shipping on July 15th. The 50% off was fantastic (or else I wouldn’t have ordered) However I received an email today saying the order has finished being processed. So it seems they packed the beans and just delayed the shipping until the 15th?

The whole point is to get freshly roasted beans by delaying it not pack it and ship it 4 days later?

I hope I’m wrong but that’s how it seems for now.

    Hi Ozbargain Hunters,

The response to our EOFY sale has been incredible.

The final package left the roastery last week and is on the way to you now if you haven’t already received it.

For those of you that selected delayed shipping, your order will leave the roastery freshly roasted later this week.

If there were any issues with your order, please email us at [email protected], and we will be in contact as soon as possible.

    • Nearly 1 week, and just do not bother replying on my email.

hi Jackson14, I purchased a bag of your Rwanda single origin in the sale and I'm pretty disappointed in the coffee. I've not purchased from you before, but have visited your cafe previously and thought I'd give the coffee a go. I brew a lot of coffee at home (pourover and Aeropress) and used to work with specialty coffee myself. This coffee doesn't really taste the way it's described, and tastes like it might even have the potato defect that is common in coffee from Rwanda.

I just thought I'd share this for your quality control.

From the EOFY sale I placed an order for two bags and it was picked up from North Vic from sender on the 5th July. Bags received today with one bag saying roast date of 6th of July, the other bag absent. Sure it's 1 day fast forward but somehow not feeling confident in these roast dates anymore.

P.S like a few others, what I received wasn't what I ordered either.

  • Haven't these guys already proved time and time again that they… suck?

I think there coffee is great. I have bought it may times without issue.

  • So far the Roosevelt blend I just received taste about the same as the Aldi bean. Maybe that's just me not being to taste the difference 🤔 I have a bdb with the smart grinder. Maybe I also need to invest in a better grinder.

I also have a bag of the sunset to test 🤞it will be better.

  • Bought Rwanda filter coffee beans again. My bro liked it last time.
