Leatherman Micra Stainless Steel $48 + Shipping (Free with Club Catch) @ Catch

180

Not the cheapest price, but not terrible I think. This seems to be a decent price for the Stainless Steel version considering it hasn't gone on sale recently from what I can see.

There's also this website but I tested for delivery to Sydney and it said the product can't be shipped to Sydney.

If you like colour, Anaconda has the black and red versions for $45 and $41 respectively, but stock seems pretty low.

Don't forget Cashrewards for 3% cashback, otherwise Rewards Gateway give 8% off a Catch instant e-giftcard if you have access to it.

  • I have one, for the same price 15 years ago.

  • This thing might be good to keep in your handbag or backpack if you often find a need for cutting… small things? If you're looking for something general purpose that will be way more versatile and useful, spring the $100 for a Wingman: https://www.snowys.com.au/wingman-with-cw-nylon-sheath

Mine has been indispensable. Love the thing.

    • I’ve heard that this one is good for people who like to fish, and the Squirt PS4 is good for people who tinker with electronics.

Ooh I haven't seen the squirt before. Yeah that would be perfect for fiddling with electronics.

I use mine as a general around-the-house tool for most things that don't require multiple (or specialised) tools at once to do the job. It's just a real solid piece of equipment, though it's got some heft… I probably wouldnt be carrying it around in a backpack or whatever

        • +1

Yeah I have a Wave but it’s way too heavy to carry around on the daily.

I usually keep this on me at all times, been handy in a pinch.

      • if ppl buying one for a type of profession, they should already have dedicated tools.

micra is good for urban use as a grooming tool. also, scissor is just a must for anybody daily (open package, trim cloth tag etc etc)

    @jetblack,bit of a difference between $48 and $100 mate….
The OP's deal is good because Anaconda want $12.99 shipping.

    Got one…thanks OP

I bought one a few months back from Anaconda for about $50, its amazing so compact.

great price, leatherman use good quality steel and last for ages.

Worth comparing the Squirt ps4 to this before pulling the trigger. I have a ps4 for my hiking/gobag (i dont take a sony ps4 on hikes haha, i take a ps5, natch) and it is freaking tiny and light for what it can do, perfect for gram counters. I like the squirt for the added functionality of the pliers (you could say heavy duty tweezers) since a knife can mostly do the job of scissors, but neither can do what the little pliers can. Cheapest I've seen is 59 for a squirt on catch but.

    Skeletool $99 is value

The disadvantage i see with this vs the Squirt PS4 apart from the lack of the most useful pliers is that the other tools hinge on the inside. So you need to open the tool (scissors) to get to them.

    • Yes that’s a good thing to note. It’s a pro and con I think.

pretty good. I prefer Gerber tiny multitool. Gerber build quality nowhere near as good as Leatherman, but much easier to access tools making it my more used tool. Gerber dime also has very convenient bottle opener

  • Sorry for the noob question, but why do they include a nail cleaner and nail file? What use of these without a nail cutter? Just a space filler? Most nail cutters already come with these anyway.
