FYI:

Carl's Jr is not a burger clone, founded timeline:
McDonald's on May 15, 1940, Carl’s Jr on July 17, 1941 (1946 introduced burgers) and then,
July 23, 1953 Burger King (our HJ’s).
Carl's Jr burgers are 'chargrilled', unlike HJ's 'flamegrilled'.
The burgers are BETTER at Carl's. Try the Angus burger range and taste for yourself.
I DO NOT WORK OR AM ASSOCIATED IN ANYWAY to Carl's Jr. other than being a fan.

OP, it's time to stop believing misshaped truth: In 1941 Carl purchased a hot-dog cart, 1945 was a restaurant, hamburgers were first added to the menu in 1950 and the first Carl Jr was opened in 1956. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl%27s_Jr.
This timeline makes them much more a clone - as does the almost identical taste that most everyone else notices is on par with the local Hungry Jacks.

So they were before HJs but not maccas?

Seriously who even cares if it's a clone. Op is clearly a die hard fan who will advertise the hell out of it. Companies need more fans like this but most of us arent silly enough to do it unpaid.

Nope. You’re wrong. But thanks for letting me know. According to Carl Karcher’s own book called: ‘Never Stop Dreaming: 50 Years of Making It Happen’ he sold his first burger in 1946.
      It’s a good read: https://www.amazon.com/Never-Stop-Dreaming-Making-Happen/dp/…
Does anyone know how to update Wikipedia..? Silly you @Wolfy believing what you read on Wikipedia.

These are some of the worst burgers I've had. I went to the Knox branch and the 2 burgers I had (Tradies deal) were dry and bland.

    • +1

I wouldn't say the worst, but agree with you that they're bland and the chips were nothing special either. I drove all the way out to Altona just to try them out too.

      • firstworld struggles

        Better than Maccas by far.

      • Real burgers from the local take away beat franchise fake burgers every time. They are ok when on a dirt cheap offer but otherwise not worth the full price.

msjb = must spam junk burgers. This stuffs trash.

  • The only thing i dont like about this place is the misleading photos of burgers, the single cheeseburger thing shows some sort of half kilo of meat in the middle..

When you get it in real life, its so thin you can only see the bread lol

    • All franchise places never advertise their real product. It would be a joke.

  • Is the Ice - Cream milk shake worth a try ?

  • A millionaire businessman with a string of Carl's Jr stores in Queensland and the local franchise rights to the US Cinnabon chain has been slapped with a $1.8m tax bill.

Took them 10 minutes to prepare my burger and it was stone cold. Must have tried to thaw it out first.
