Northcote Pottery 37cm Italian Super Bloomer Terracotta Pot $8.80 (Was $25.80) @ Bunnings

770

Saw this on my latest Bunnings rummage with an orange sticker. Confirmed later on the website.
Great pot for things like succulents or succulent arrangements, or if you need something wider than the $1/17cm or $4/25cm pot.

Get in before the broden's of the succulent world do!

No need to rush, these Italian terracotta pots have been on sale for several months.

    • Available at my store but can't click and collect, but can get delivered for $40. WTF

    Northcote Pottery

    Shame they closed down… :(

    • bah! That would explain why I haven't been able to find more square and rectangular terracotta troughs that match my existing ones :(

They closed down in Northcote about 10-15 years ago and sold to developers. Real shame…

No idea where they get their products from now… Maybe China?

        • heh no idea then. Italian and Vietnam seem to be where most of mine say they are from. But they are all limited run type of sales by Bunnings. After all the other pots I've bought including some of these I probably won't buy them even if they come up for again. Way too many pots now lol

          • @dufflover:

But they are all limited run type of sales by Bunnings.

That's because it depends what happens to come over in the shipping container that month.

No doubt the quality isn't as good as the ones they used to make locally.

@jv: @jv This range of terracotta product comes out of Italy. It's not a promotional range.

@dufflover The terracotta troughs and squares were discontinued a couple of years ago, as the design was not a high seller.

  • Thanks. Need some for my succulent babies

They're also great to burn out the charcoals to reuse again.

    • 🤔

      • When I'm using my Hibachi. I use bintochan charcoal, multiple uses. I put them in the pot, cover it and snuff out the charcoal to use again.
Use the above or use one of these for $95.

        • Can't you just close off and cover up the grill to put them out?

          • @dufflover: In the Weber sure. But the Hibachi is an open BBQ, doesn't have a cover.

        • Where do you get your charcoal from? Do you grill indoors?

  • Note that the pot is shallow and mainly suitable for herbs and small plants with short roots.
Picked up one for seasonal flowers.
