Red Light Camera Frankston-Dandenong Rd/Hall Rd

Hi,

I was driving yesterday to the local Woolworths and while turning right into Hall Rd from Frankston Dandenong Rd the right intersection light may of turned amber to red.
While I think I was over the light(that amber light sure did seem to turn to red way faster than usual…), I've been thinking about it a lot.

Is the red light camera placed on Hall Rd only for cars turning right into Frankston Dandenong Rd and driving straight to Lathams Rd or does it also include cars turning right into Hall Rd?

    I doubt they’ll spare any lane to be honest..
    If they already have a camera in place, they usually sync it to all traffic lanes..

    Maximise that $$$

      I was turning into Hall Rd not into Frankston Dandenong Rd - That one camera covers that turning into Hall Rd, Frankston Dandenong Rd and Lathams Rd?

      Just doesn't seem possible that the camera could capture a license plate from that angle but if I am wrong I guess I'll see wait and see.

          There is no way the camera on Hall Road can take a picture of your number plate when you cross the line (in the turning lane).

            Also the fact that the amber light turned to red much faster than usual… I heard from someone that lights with cameras change faster than usual.

    Have you tried stopping when the lights turn yellow/red? I find if I only go through on green lights that I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about it.

    Either way, the red light camera on Halls Rd. would be for the cars going straight or turning right from Halls Rd. (I can’t see any camera on the Dandenong Rd. sides in the Google Maps. This may have changed since that photo was taken.)

    Also, don’t worry about “if” and only worry about “rEvEnUe rAiSiNg” when a fine actually turns up. Then come back here with your excuse about how it was an emergency because your pregnant cousin needed to get to a chemist for some test strips and argue with everyone who tells you to suck it up and pay.

    I go through this intersection every day. The camera only works for the traffic on Hall Rd in each direction.

      Do you mean the camera only works for cars driving straight to Lathams Rd and turning right into Frankston Dandenong Rd and that's it?
