Consumption history, anywhere, at anytime.
We developed Shelly 1PM to allow you to monitor the status and history, as well as the current and past electrical power consumption for the day, week, month or year.

Watt do people use these for?
I've used the Sonoff equivalent for ceiling fans. For lights though, you want something with a dimmer function. And neither deserve an energy meter.
They only make sense for hard-wired appliances.
Funny how Amazons upsells "Buy it with" a Zigbee adaptor. Sometimes the Algorithm fails.
Pool pumps? Hot water? chargers for batteries?
I personally purchased several of the Shelly one units as they are the same just without an energy monitor - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/634312
pool pump hard wired? No, so just get a standard smart-plug.
charger certainly not, and why on earth would you need energy monitor on that?
Hot water is a better guess, but would be well beyond the power rating of this.
They are rated for 16 amp…
@Krazyy: 16A is a cold or very low-flow shower.
Oh wait - I'm in WA where we don't have cheap off-peak power, so none of those electric storage heaters. I guess that's what you meant.
@bargaino: Ah yes, I do mean electric storage heaters.
@Krazyy: That works. Can anyone tell me another use for these? I'm easily sold on smart-home stuff.
@Krazyy: I was thinking of using one of these with tank storage electric hot water, so that it could run when solar was running and then switch off when solar wasn't working. Is this possible with this and home assistant or do you know if another solution that makes more sense?
@Jackson: I do this exact thing but with an esphome smart plug.
Would work very well with this.
charger certainly not, and why on earth would you need energy monitor on that?
Not a Shelly, but I use a TP-Link K115 smart plug on the battery charger for my garden tools. The energy monitoring is used with Home Assistant to turn the charger off when the power draw drops (indicating battery is fully charged).
@Speedster: If your tools are Li-Ion, that is not necessary. The charger does what is needed, and if that fails, the battery itself has built-in over-charge protection.
The usage is helpful for identifying use of a load. I use similar meters for alerts of washing machine cycles and pool pump flow issues (no water seems to 'unload' the motor and power usage drops). Can also be useful for turning on and off battery charger.
Yes, but those are not hard-wired. You can (and should) use a common smart-plug.
The 2.5 is better value if you're switching 2 circuits in the same wall plate
If 10A is enough yes.
Not free shipping though like smart guys

Is this Tuya?
No.
Are these a good starting point to convert existing light circuits to smart lighting for home automation? I've only had experience with ZigBee and wifi bulbs via Smartthings and Tuya/ifttt/Alexa integration. Moving house soon and there's conventional light bulb sockets instead of downlights and need to work out if I buy 3 bulbs per pendant or go for a relay setup plus electrician costs.
if you don't need power monitoring there are much cheaper options. eg shelly1 or 2
The current sensing Shelley still isn't approved for Australia ..yet (available in the UK). Can power hot water, charge EV car etc from solar only when the sun is bright and solar is exporting). Plus wifi overide.
Is the wattometer an energy monitor?
