Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Stick Vacuum $734 or 125,070 Points + Delivery @ Qantas Store

110

Not bad if you have an excess of points and don't plan on flying. Even the price without using points, plus delivery seems to be cheaper than most places that i could see anyway.

The V10 sucks, and is good at it.

I read afew times a while ago that v10 had a problem/defect with getting clogged and would keep showing notification to clear blockage, not allowing you to resume vacuuming without constantly checking it. Anyone have experience with v10? I’d like to know if it’s an over exaggeration (:

    • Had the V10 for a couple of years. Two issues I think I’ve isolated 1) dust getting stuck in the cyclone bit for some reason and I had to clean it out, it was brick dust from drilling, maybe not the best use case, oh and flour I think.
      2) the filter too damp or clogged.

The filter can take a while to dry so that can put a damper on your sucking desires, even if it’s a little bit damp.

      • Thanks for the response!
Well if it only clogs in those situations, which could happen with many other vacuums, maybe what I read isn’t actually much of an issue to bear in mind. Good to know 👍
I always dry the filters properly, & won’t be sucking up fine powder or damp matter so wouldn’t be a thing for me! Gonna hold out for the moment though!

      • So let me get this straight. You vacuumed up flour when you were making damper and the damp filter became a damper on the dampness. Was the damper alright at least? Or was it also a bit damp?

    • Have a V10 Animal and can say mine has this problem, no blockage and have done full pull apart, full clean and air gun blow out. Dyson isn't what it use to be, maintenance to keep it running seems like a bit of hassle these days. When its running its awesome but it seems in short bursts these days :)

  • Had v10 for a few years now. Never had issue with clogging or any notifications. Just make sure filter is cleaned as required and let DRY. Completely dry. I bought an extra filter so we don't have to wait days for the other one to dry naturally outside in sun.

    • Agree - spare filters are an absolute necessity so that you can continue to use the v10 whilst drying.

      • Where would you get these filters? I've seen a few eBay/Amazon sellers but reviews have been mixed. Some complain it doesn't fit as it's not legit Dyson parts.
