      I would choose OLED as well. Better colors due to that infinite constrast ratio. You wouldn't see much benefit out of a 8k display as there really anything that supports that res, well unless your playing Doom with a RTX 3090.

  For the average Netflix watcher is there much point in purchasing an 8K TV over something like a LG 4K CX or is it better to wait?

    this is oz - we are backward and accelerating backward. 8k telly little point at this time - best oled you can afford with best inputs way to go.

  The IPS panel isn't bad, but it feels like technology from 5 years ago now, there is no point buying this. Contrast ratio and brightness is really low on these panels.
