I've got a few of the Xioami rechargeable motion sensor night lights that you don't see much of anymore so was looking for a new version and found this. Looks pretty good and the pricing is really good considering it's rechargeable.

Features:

  1. Back Lighting design: softer light without being dazzling

  2. Dual induction, PIR human body induction + photosensitive induction

  3. 120 days long endurance

  4. Magnetic installation: Easier pick and place

Back Lighting Design Does Not Glare when Opening the Door

The front design of the light source is replaced with the backing light, so that it diffuses outwards along the periphery of the lamp body to form a ring-shap. Effectively avoid direct light and better protect both eyes.

Lasting Battery Life Lights up 150 Nights
The low power consumption circuit design plus the large-capacity lithium battery offer the theoretical battery life of more than 5 months in the induction mode, so that you will never worry about frequent charging.

Shimmer Light Better Protects Your Eyes

Your eyes will be severely irritated when playing mobilephone or computer in the darkness. Turn on the light mode to use it as the night light, so that your eyes can be better protected from being irritated and get relieved from fatigue when working at night, and playing with mobile phones with a shimmer light.

Magnetic Attraction for Placement Put It Where It is Needed

Custom-made magnetic base can be firmly attached to the groove of the lamp body, integrated with the contour without occupying space. The lamp body can be taken down and placed at any place where light is needed.

Anyone know if this is any good and how it compares to the xiaomi?

    • +2

      Which Xiaomi one?

    • xiaomi does smart -home motion sensors, no? These are totally dumb.

      • They do non-smart ones too, I've got a couple of these. It says 'smart', but they're just simple motion sensor lights like these.

  • How bright are these? I am after something to help me use the bathroom at night.

I don’t want to use my main light as it’s too bright.

I read it as RIP light hahaha

      You are not alone 😂

    • Same!

    • it's a sign mate..

  • Had the item in my cart, went through Paypal checkout, and price immediately doubled!?

    Backed out - I hope it didn't charge paypal…

I think back to full price now

    • Did the same thing, Lucky checked before paying. Looks like natural colour is sold out and now only white light at the cheaper price available

    • I'm only able to see it as AU$29.57.

  • Is this only for the "white light" version, the warm "natural light" version seems to still be about $30.
For anyone that cares, you don't want white light when you are trying to sleep as it will block melanin and start waking you up.

I learnt last year that melanin and melatonin were different things. Had somehow thought they were the same all my life! The brain can make up some pretty wild ways to explain things…

  • I just recently got the Xiaomi smart sensor lights (bluetooth) - it has been quite good, i think it cost between $10-15 each from Aliexpress (I believe this is normal price)

  • yeah the ones I want (natural light) aren't on special at all.

never buy anything from Banggood again. such a pain dealing with them

  • If its not a smart-home device, why not just get the $10 version from Bunnings or the even cheaper one from Kmart?

  • These look like USB-C!!

  • I keep missing out on these :(

  • These are great, at a similar price (though they need a power point): https://www.bunnings.com.au/arlec-motion-sensor-led-plug-in-…

    • Honestly, these are nowhere near as good looking design wise..plus these require a power outlet.

  • ermegherrd I wish I saw this

I've got one of these from Bunnings, recommended. Look really nice, long battery life (~3-4 months apparently), stay on 30s.

Just mount with these (I trimmed the strip on the light side slightly thinner to clear battery door)
