  • Worth stating straight that 2 months of Binge standard is worth $28, not taking into account the 2-week trial.

    • Was actually going to say - this doesnt sound that bad…. Wonder if it stacks with an UBER coupon code

If someone is from Uber eat, I just want you to let you know that ever since you started having this BS “admin fee”, I stopped ordering from you regardless you have free delivery or not…it’s almost an insult really……just or not, the food is already on much higher mark up and now you want to add another fee….good luck squeezing more out of your customer…

Agree. Whilst I still order from them, it’s about 1/10 as much as before and also I order less food. I’ve also told my fave local to please add themselves to another service (they’re currently only on UE) and when they do, I won’t be order from Uber at all.
I swear their deliveries have gotten worse too. I ordered the other day and ended up having 2 stops along the way! 3 mins drive from my place took 20 mins because of stops. And another order had one stop “along the way” which was actually 15 mins past my place so adding min half hour to their trip. I was so peeved.

I would like to say the same thing too. Last time I ordered, the delivery + service fee adds up to be like $10 for a $40 meal. Glad it was a company/team meal so it was expensed but that really turns me off.

Ordering the same thing from ML would only charge me $4 delivery fee.

No plans to return to UE in foreseeable future.

I am the same. I don't think I've ordered from them once since the admin fee was introduced. The worst thing is not knowing how much it's going to be until you order. Might be ok in America but not here.

      Me too. Switched to Deliveroo

    Possibly targeted?

Limited to users who opted-in to receive this email.

  • Is there anything good on Binge?

    • +5

It has easily the best selection of TV shows of any service in Australia just by having the entire HBO catalogue. It's a shame it's run by Murdoch.

      • Murdoch bad

    • Big little lies
      Mare of east town
      Euphoria
      The Sopranos
      West world
      The Wire
      Game of Thrones
      …. and many more

Decent content on Binge, but damn, it's a nightmare to actually use. A lot of the apps are utter rubbish across various platforms, and the web based one doesn't work properly on any TV based browser I've tried yet too. If you have Apple TV or Chromecast, apparently that's about the only reliable way to watch it. I got 9 months for free through the Telstra offer, but no way I'd pay for it in it's current state. YMMV.

Agree. I have only used on the smart TV, and every time I tried to return to the main page, it takes me straight to the beginning of the main page, it doesn’t keep your spot like Netflix and others.

      But otherwise, love it.

    • Oh and I forgot to mention, unbelievably for a streaming service, they have insufficient bandwidth in peak times and you'll get buffering. When they dropped that Friends reunion special, you couldn't even reliably log into the service, let alone stream.

      • ^this. Their servers are crap.

I like Binge…but the app really needs work. I use on Chromecast. It always has the same stuff on the main page, I find it really hard to casually browse on there. It’s like you need to know what you’re wanting to watch.
Also, once you’ve finished a movie it does this annoying thing where it starts on another and even if you click off it, it’s in your “continue watching” list as well the movie you finished is still in there. I have a tonne with a couple of mins to go which is just credits that won’t leave my continue watching list. And I cannot find a way to remove things from there.
Seems simple but it honestly bothers me and makes it a far less enjoyable experience.

    • I've been using it on Apple TV and it's still horrible to use.

  • Can this stack with the Telstra 3-month free offer?

I didn’t receive an email from them. Although I haven’t used Uber Eats for a while.

Anyone received the code after ordering? I placed 30+ order yesterday and still waiting for the code.

Has anyone received the voucher yet? Just wondering if it is instant or after the promotion ends? Can't see anything in the terms and conditions

    Cheers

      Still waiting

    Still waiting

  • Still waiting here, made two orders and still nothing.

  • +1

I contacted Uber eats social media team and asked what's going on. They said they will get on contact with everyone that's qualified within the next 48hrs with an email code for binge. Not sure if this too is targeted, but I got another offer from Kayo for 2 months as well.

  • Got it.

  • My code came through

  • Is there a trial offer that we can stack on top with this?

  • Is anybody else still waiting for their code?

    • My friend got their code the other day

    • I'm still waiting

      • Are you still waiting ?

I haven't received mine and it's frustrating trying to contact Uber Eats.

  • Do you also get the 2 weeks trial or not ? Should I start my Binge trial while I wait for my promo code ?

  • It's been two weeks and I still have not received the BINGE code. I got in touch with UBEREATS customer care multiple times and they kept stalling. Finally this morning they have removed the message thread where I asked the multiple times to clarify when exactly I was going to get the code.

This is some next level unprofessionalism in customer care from UBEREATS imo. Anyone else had a similar experience?

    • I'm still waiting as well.

I was told on Monday everyone will receive it in the next few days, and now they are not replying to my support thread.

      • +1

They removed the support thread altogether for me.
I remember the codes they were gonna send were to be used by 17 of July. It's past 17 July now and still no code.

        • I’m still going back and forth with them. I’ve had a few of the “by the end of the week” responses. Now getting the “this is being treated with the utmost seriousness” responses. Guess I have to be grateful the chat is still open!

They have run this promo before and I didn’t receive a link - frankly false advertising at this point.

          • @neeki: I hate how they are getting away with this behaviour. They should be held responsible somehow. But I don't know what to do unfortunately.

            • @aurthohin: Well, my thread was removed as well. Although it disappeared from the app, I can still reply to emails and it seems the thread is still active somewhere.

Yet I created another one and still in contact with them.

I suggest you create a new support thread and don't give up. I won't.

              • @PumaPuma: Got the code today. Haven't used it yet though. I hope you also get your's soon.

                • @aurthohin: That's promising. I'm still waiting.

Was it a code/voucher ? or was it a link and you had to register using the link ?

I'm thinking of starting a 2 weeks trial and then adding the voucher to my account.

Let me know how you go.

                  • @PumaPuma: It's a voucher code and instructions on how to use it. Mine has to be used by 8 Aug.

                  • @PumaPuma: Today I tried to use the code they gave me and it's a dud. I talked with Binge customer care and the code ubereats sent expired on 18 July it seems. I tried to reply to the email they sent the code in, and my email was not delivered. There is no way to contact ubereats, no number no email. Damn! They have taken customer care to the next level!!

                    How was your experience?

                    • @aurthohin: I received mine and it also said must redeem before 8 August.

Since I had already started a 2 weeks trial, I immediately redeemed it and it extended my subscription by 2 months.

After this experience, I'd hate to be in your position trying to contact Uber.

                      • @PumaPuma: Great that you were able to use it. UberEats customer care is a nightmare to deal with and I will try to stay away from them from now on.
