Despite being more expensive, the food is alot nicer/ fresher i guess that keeps people coming back
Probs cause they're not fried like most other places.
Revenue > costs?
Los Pollos Hermanos docet.
Too much Breaking Bad
I too am surprised, not that I don't think their food is good, but I think about their competition that offer something more than regular roast chicken, i.e. KFC or Nando's.
Having said that, I do go there sometimes when there's a special or something. Their chicken is quite good, but if I'm getting takeaway, I generally go all out and get unhealthier KFC.
When I drive past, I never see it that busy. I do feel for the franchisee.
I prefer their chips over KFC. Way more consistent.
To be fair, KFC chips are universally regarded to be poor (also speaking from experience in their restaurants in the US, Canada, and China).
Nah. They can be pretty good when they're fresh. They just lack consistency of being good all the time.
@Munki: Yeah, we had KFC the other night… fresh chips and were pretty good.
Low transport costs.

Even though I’m a KFC Junkie, RR tastes good and has a lot more variety in its menu.
Sadly the one near me closed down :(
I miss red rooster
Red Rooster used to be the bottom of my fast food list, but with the addition of the fried chicken - it has well and truly shot up to number 1. The fried chicken is better than the fried chicken at KFC - well at least compared to hot and spicy. And that addition has made me appreciate their other menus too.
Have to agree with you after checking out their app today- can't order as doesn't allow pick up (says this feature still under development) and doesn't deliver to my address!
Brilliant! I don't like pineapple almost as much as I don't like paying a dollar more for something I don't like in the first place. Welcome back, $5 lunch.
Can you still grab a Coke can for a buck more or nah?
Feel sorry for the chickens farming themselves out at such bargain basement prices
Well, well, well. Just like a fox to feel sorry for a chicken.
FYI, according to the girl at Chirnside, it's 2 bucks for a Coke now, no thanks.
would be a no from me too, but it could vary from store to store….have not bought this deal this time around yet
I absolutely love their cheap lunches! I go there all the time in Darwin. Great value and always tastes great
any delivery? Syd is in lockdown
Lockdown doesn't mean you can't drive to get some takeaway food.. just make sure it's not 25km away.
I agree. But if someone need to drive more than 25km during lockdown to buy Red Rooster they may need to reconsider if its a real bargain.
I was being fictitious on the 25km figure, but you get what I mean- a reasonable distance.
There's no rule that says you can't drive 25km
Check deliveroo, they currently have free delivery (for some lockdown areas) plus some red roosters offer 25% off first order
the 25% off makes it worth the delivery, otherwise, all the in store only coupons are not available on delivery and that sucks.
Way too salty, but each to their own of course. Fast food chains add salt and sugar to everything, even the bread. It's like Gordon Ramsey on a coke binge with a salt shaker! Jumping around like there's an epileptic dolphin lodged up his arse.
That's how they make you buy the drinks with it.
this was my jam when i used to live close to a RR
the thigh was pure oily heaven
Just went to my local and this wasn't offered - closest they had was the Rippa deal with pineapple fritter for $5.95.
Just had one, it's pretty good though I didn't know their gravy was just the instant type. Extra can costs $2.
You need to bring back the 2 rippa subs and regular chips for $14 or if there's a code send it to me please.
Now if only nandos could do the same pricing…
Long time deal for RR needs mentioning: 224WRC, two whole chickens delivered for $24. You need to add $1 for the minimum delivery of $25, two sauces if you want to minimise it.
El Jannah or nothing.
how is red rooster still in business
