  • These are for hard-core runners right?

    • Yes

Made for pace - if your running plan includes up-tempo runs you’ll get a bit more return for effort with these shoes. They aren’t that forgiving so I wouldn’t wear these as casual sneakers for walks/pottering around

    • -1

      Not really.
These are the cut down cheap version. No carbon plate and zoomx foam only on parts of the mid sole. They do have the useless air pods though.

      • -1

air pods on these shoes are known to pop

And the eshay kids I see in them all the time at the shops 😂

  • Please add seller to title.

  • Thanks! $20 from commbank and 7% from cashrewards

    • There's other colours too

Pretty good deal, except the shoes itself wasn't well received..

I use mine for 5km to half marathon. Very springy and pretty good for a mainly heel striker, despite what the reviews say.
Only really good for road as the high platform makes them a bit unstable. I think they would feel weird walking in them casually
    Normal Nike sizing for me
    A steal at this price

Don't be confused with the Alphafly Next %- these are basically a pair of Pegs with an airbag. So different foam, no carbon plate. heavier etc.

    • -3

      Incorrect. These have carbon plate.

      • +4

Incorrect, this model doesn't have the carbon plate.

Nike Air Zoom Tempo Next% - No Carbon Plate
Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% - Yes Carbon Plate
Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% - Yes Carbon Plate

The only Nike that Rebel have at the moment that has the carbon plate is the older model Nike Zoom Fly 3 Mens Running Shoes @ $169.99

To clarify, while the Tempo doesn't have a 100% carbon plate, it does have a full sized "carbon composite" plate.

        • +1

OK. There is a plate but not carbon.
A full-length plate in the midsole helps stabilise the Zoom Air pods while also providing a propulsive feel with every stride. The difference between this plate and those in our racing shoes is that the one in the Tempo NEXT% isn't as rigid, which allows your foot to build strength over the course of training.

Good training shoes though. I have these for training, and Vaporfly Next % for races.

  • Rebel doesnt appear in my commbank rewards :(

I’ve been running in these since Jan and I love them (mango colour way). The air pods provide a great push off and also absorb a decent amount of shock on landing. Only recommend these if you’re a forefoot striker. Heel strikers won’t get he maximum benefit from the tech in the forefoot of the shoe.

You definitely can’t run slow in these for very long because once you start running you can’t help pick up the pace and suddenly you’re running faster than you normally would be.

1 BIG caveat is the heel collar. At the back it can have a tendency to rub on your achilles resulting in a blister. I’ve only gotten 2 blisters so far over 150km (1 on each achilles).

If that is a concern for you I would recommend looking at the flyease version of the Tempo Next% (also on sale at Rebel) as the heel collar flares out inside of in so shouldn’t cause any achilles rubbing. I tried the flyease in Rebel a while back (after already getting a pair of normal ones) and they are very comfy!

If I didn’t have so many running shoes now (and eyeing off the new Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 2) I’d have bought another pair in flyease. Too bad not as many colour ways of the flyease.

EDIT: I also wouldn’t discourage amateur runners from getting these (I’d consider myself an amateur runner). Everyone starts off as an beginner and you only get better the more you run. If these shoes make you feel fast and help you put in more Ks you’ll only get better and love the sport more. The more types of shoes you can run in and rotate through will help strengthen your feet as they adapt to the feeling of each shoe as you run in them.

  • What would people recommend for beginner/amatuer men's, running 5km-half marathon in this price range? I dont know my running style (strike?). This or any other suggestions?

    • Run in these, and if you don’t like them sell them off for $140 on FBplace/Fleabay.

  • pretty sure delivery is free? unless you want express.

  • If you haven’t pulled the trigger yet you can add a >$10 item to get free delivery (like these cones for $12, and checkout using SHOPBACK’s current 15% cash back promo to bring it down to ~$130 delivered with a free pair of cones! Also, free returns, so buy the sizes you think you’ll fit (in separate orders), try them on at home and return the ones you don’t need.
