If you are buying for "next-gen" gaming, I understand it doesn't currently have VRR capability - this is expected to come in a firmware update at an unknown point in the future.

My mistake, missed that
Kinda sad that after 15% off the 65" would be under 2000 but couldn't apply the coupon until afterpay is selected.
Anyone thinking of getting this tv should go see it in the stores first. 2021 models uses a recycled glossy plastic frame that feels really cheap and is easy to scratch. The build material isn't really equivalent to last years x9000h model where both frame and even the stand is made of metal.
This or oled?
this seems to have good reviews, though I wouldn't mind going OLED for the right price

@xuqi: Its definately coming for both last year's model as well as this year. They're aiming for end of this year if no further delays. Software is probably still getting written.

I told my brother about the deal and rather than stuffing around with eBay' and Afterpay asked them if they'd price match/price beat. Managed to get it for $1515
They refused. They said they don't match ebay coupons because ebay is paying for the discount.

Yeah but we're no talking rubbish from Samsung. This is like normal price for a Sony.

Yeah fair enough. I got a 75inch Sony myself. Minimum size in my opinion really. Especially when we're already cheaping out by buying just an lcd tv instead of oled.

I can't get anywhere near this price, with the closest being $1795 from The Good Guys over the phone. Any tips on how I can get closer to the $1500 you lot pay? I would have thought things would have gotten cheaper being you guys were getting this price 2 months back.
Might just have to wait for another 15% off code to come through on Good Guys/JB/etc to be honest. I was eyeing this off for a while so was ready to jump on it when I saw the code.
