  • Calling it the complete adventures when they're filming a new one currently is a bit on the nose lol

    • I somehow think it might even be worse than the 4th movie. I'd be more than happy to just buy the original trilogy at a decent price.

        Repeat the mantra

        There was no 4th movie.
        There was no 4th movie.
        There was no 4th movie.
        …….

Crystal skull? Never heard of it

  • +3

they’re is really only 3 movies

  • The 1st movie is one of the best movies ever made

The 4th is one of the worst…

The 4K set is $18 on iTunes currently if you don't mind digital.
(Yes, typical digital concerns: bitrate, ownership, etc)

    • I didn’t mind,,bought them last night…even as a BD/4K collector…the price of this set for just 4K only is over the top.

      • Totally agree. The movies should be $60 Max. Then wait for them to go on sale. Just wondering, how do you compare Apple 4K TV to 4k discs ? Netflix is crappy.

        • I watched Raiders last night and it was pretty good quality. (Mind you, I only have the regular Blu-rays to benchmark off and wasn't inclined to drop another $87+ to upgrade to 4K.) Of course, the audio is not lossless when compared to the discs, but there's a decent selection of extras, and not having to get off the couch to drop a disc in a player is a bonus too…

          • @MELso: Cheers. Thanks for the quick reply. Just wondering if it's worth the plunge into Apple TV or not.

            • @omblygombly: I like the Apple TV - it does frame rate and dynamic range matching, and if you buy and activate one by 30 June, you get a year of Apple TV+ (Apple's subscription service) for free, so yeah, I think so…

(About the only drawbacks are an inability to load Kodi readily, and that bitstreaming of some audio is not possible e.g. TrueHD Atmos…)

          • @MELso: A movie lasts about 2 hours, is it really that much of a problem to get up every 2 hours?

      • If you have got 4K then you don't need Blu-ray, and it does come with a Blu-ray bonus disc. Look at the price of the UK edition that included BD movies.

If you get it on sale then $20~ each for a 4K movie that has excellent reviews isn't over the top, I think that is a reasonably fair price. The size of a 4K movie on digital is about 15gb, these discs are 66gb, picture and sound quality is better on disc.

And less if you've stocked up on discount iTunes credit in the past…

    • I have all of those concerns, but for the bargain price still worth it, thanks!

  • Kennedy will put a final nail in Indi's coffin with this coming movie :-(
