Are you sure it is included on Xbox Game Pass? I could not find it, really like to play it again not sure if I want to spend $20.00 on it from MS store. If you have found it on Game Pass please let me know.
It's part of EA play, which is why it doesn't show up directly in the Xbox app. If you install the EA desktop app and link your Xbox game pass you'll find it available on there.

Wrong game dude, that's Tiberian Sun. Still my favourite C&C game though; the atmosphere and storyline is the most unique amongst the entire franchise. Really needs a remaster along with RA2.

I think the Kirovs only appeared in Red Alert 2. In Red Alert 1, you only had Yaks and Migs, to play with.
That's RA2, which is the best (IMHO). I remember an epic game that was essentially lost… I had no units or buildings anymore, but I had not been defeated… then I found my Kirov at the corner of the map (i.e., it had run away from attackers at some stage). I started bombing the remaining enemy units and buildings, one by one. For some reason, the enemy had no units to attack my Kirov. It took some time, but I was victorious with my single Kirov.
Westwood still try to milk some money, this should be free now as a collectors item.
The ‘new’ Westwood team would gladly appreciate more sales.

This isn't the original C&C and RA.
It's been substantially updated with hi-def in-game graphics, improved cut-scenes, enhanced sound-track, and bonus footage.
It's worth the money they're asking for.

Westwood hasn't been around since 2003 when they were bought out and merged into EA LA. Some of the original devs (who broke off and created Petroglyph Games) were involved in the development of the Remastered collection however.

This is a brand-new game mate. It's not the 95/96 originals in a new bundle, these games are running on brand-new engines with widescreen/4K support, remastered soundtracks/cinematics, overhauled UI/control schemes and have tons of QoL fixes, improvements and modernisations, not to mention fully-featured multiplayer. Plus full modding support with tons of Steam Workshop mods already available that add in entirely new campaigns, missions and even more improvements to the originals.
The original games weren't even playable on Windows 7/8/10 without a lot of community-made hacks/tweaks and fiddling around.
Man, the workarounds made me pull my hair out. My game would boot up perfectly for weeks and then out of the blue it would be a no go, crash to desktop.
This remastered version is incredible. I paid $30 on day 1 and couldn't believe how cheap it was. I'd pay double that tbh. The nostalgia hit is hard.

Red Alert, C&C 1, KKND, age of empire, Quake, Quake 2, Half Life, Rainbow Six, Heroes Might and Magic 2/3, Seven Kingdom, Total Annihilation, Rogue Spear, Worms series, Blade Runner, Nox, Janes's ATF Gold, Jane's USAF, Unreal Tournament and many many more.

Surprised noone mentioned this gem of a project called "OpenRA" yet that some of you might find interesting.
Discovered it around 10yrs ago in my endless pursuit to relive the old memories of RA. Conviced a heap of ppl to download and have played many full room games on it over the years with friends.
Easy to convince your friends to try it out.

Yeah but it still looks like ass due to OpenRA utilising the original engines without any graphical improvements. I heard about OpenRA probably 10 years ago and back then when there's was no sign of the Remastered Collection on the horizon, it was definitely worth it as it took care of all of the manual hacks/fixes for you, that were required to get those old classics running on modern systems with fully functional multiplayer.
Now though? It's hard to go back to the vanilla engine with those horribly pixelated graphics after you've played the Remastered Collection.
