Hammer time! Not a hammer expert, but seems like good deal if you are in the market for hammer.

If you use a hammer regularly, spend the extra money on at least an entry level Estwing or Vaughn.

If you use a hammer all the time, go big and get a Stiletto or Martinez. But then again, if you use a hammer all the time you probably know this.

If you're needing a hammer for infrequent jobs around the house, then this is a good deal.

      Nailed it!

  • It's a little tacker (hammer pun intended).

  • Thanks. Bought one. Cheers.

Deceptively overpriced was $32.95?? For under $9 from bunnings I would prefer this https://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-20oz-solid-claw-hamme…

  • Does anyone know a good axe for splitting for wood?

      Fiskars

      • Fiskars all the way!

      • Ok thanks guys, and what would be the advantage of an axe over say getting a cheap chainsaw for cutting big logs? Wastage?

        • +5

An axe is quicker, cleaner, less noisy, more manly.
When your wife comes out and sees you shirtless, sweaty and swingin’ your axe in the sun, she’ll boof you on the spot.

I use a chainsaw to cut trunks into 30cm rounds, then split the rounds with an axe.

The rough edges allow fire to catch more easily.
