First post. Apologies if I've missed anything.

Found it this at appliances online for $81 delivered.

Was also available on their eBay store for $76.95 with PLUSF5 5% off coupon (thanks to iamprabhath for letting me know). Now out of stock.

    PLUSF5

5% off coupon brings it down to $76.95

    • Thank you. :) ill add that up top to.

  • Is this good?

    • Mums has the old plastic bowl version for 20 years.
Lots of family and friends have them as well. No complaints.
I like the fact it can be a hand mixer for small jobs or it can do the work it's self for longer jobs.
I personally think as a budget mixer it's great.

It's not especially powerful, but for lightweight mixing does a good job and the flexibility of being able to remove the motor to use as a hand mixer is useful.

It's not better than a stand mixer, but okay to make a small sponge cake.

You're better of buying the new model MX5950 $99 delivered at Amazon AU (Save $50 RRP)

There are so many more options with more powerful options if you look in Amazon around this price point. If you follow the amazon link and scroll to the bottom you will see them. 400w motor for dough mixing sounds weak.

Yeah, but dedicated stand mixers don't have the flexibility of also being a hand mixer.
Depends on your needs of course.
For regular cakes and meringue this is an excellent best of both worlds option.

For fruit cake, this wont cut it.
