Welcome to OzCarDealership, happy to accommodate you.

Unfortunately, we are not a real dealership, so maybe try calling or walking in store?

Thank you for your time today.

      • +37

you should go in store and browse websites yourself to find a deal.

A good time to heed your own advice.

          • +25

            @sonu1111:

whats the whole point of this website

Not to be your secretary, that's for sure.

            • +8

@psyren89: Come on mate, people ask for help and assistance on this website all the time…

Heck, I had someone help me the other day with the purchase of some egift cards
It doesn’t make them my ‘secretary’..

You need to relax too my man..

              • +11

@Gervais fanboy: There's a difference between "I need help with a problem (that may or may not require someone with specific traits to assist), and here are all the things I've tried already" compared to "I want dis halp plz".

                • +3

@psyren89: Hmm, i understand your point..
But come on, these are small things my brother..

Don’t let minor stuff like this bother you.

                  • +8

@Gervais fanboy: Can you google what time coles close tomorrow for us, thanks.

                    • +8

                      @Ughhh: lol
As rebuttal’s go, thats probably the strangest one I have ever had..

                      Anyways it closes at 10,
And don’t forget to scan your flybuys card for them ‘points’…

              • +8

@Gervais fanboy: Have to agree with Gervais fanboy, we're too quick to complain about users asking for a deal on the 'find me a bargain' section of the forums.

      • +3

        Dude, why so uptight ?

        Chill

  • +21

Don't expect a 'good deal' on a brand new unreleased model for an in-demand vehicle class in the current environment. Dealers don't need to negotiate on them and they'll sell like crazy as-is in inflated market. Even being a Nissan.

      • +16

When you've found your deal on the Nissan, let me know where to buy cheap PS5s.

        • +2

Free Pathfinder with every ps5 purchase?

          0% finance of course

  • +7

How many Nissan dealers can there be in Perth?

Get your shoes on. Don’t forget the ‘good deal’ ‘new model’ and ‘want it ASAP’ are not compatible.

    • +1

New model, good deal and ASAP… You can pick 2…

  • +3

I'm looking for a 3080 do you know anyone?

    • +1

You need someone who works at Nvidia to get you one cheap 👍

    • +9

As others have pointed out, there is no need for any dealer to help you and they don't need your business. You want a deal on a brand new model that is in high demand. Dealers will sell these at full price without any effort ergo there are not going to be any deals.

You're actually asking if there is a dealer out there willing to forgo money out of their own pocket for no reason other than you're both on OzBargain lol.

      • +10

Hmm you are right, but some people don’t know the things that others do…

I don’t think he did anything wrong by posting an enquiry here…

I think we should be a bit nicer to the people around us.

        • +1

I think we should be a bit nicer to the people around us.

Consistent with OzBargain philosophy, that doesn't cost anything either!

        • +2

I don’t think he did anything wrong by posting an enquiry here…

True, but OP has been on here a while and should know a little better than to ask such an open and oft asked question. Although many probably assumed it was a new member one hit wonder.

I think we should be a bit nicer

Agree. There is no harm in nicely asking the OP to do a little research and help us to gave a better answer.

          • @Euphemistic: ‘There is no harm in nicely asking the OP to do a little research and help us to gave a better answer.‘
            👍🏻

Ofcos, most people here have done just that.. just the few that are lashing out at him and acting pissed as if it were a big deal..
my comment was directed at them.

Coz that kind of approach doesn’t really help anyone.. There’s ‘tough love’ which is great but then there is strangers punching down on you..

  • +1

Not surprised at the quality of replies you’re getting sadly. If no one can connect you with someone, a 10% discount on a car is usually doable, you just need to be firm. Shop towards the end of the month also as dealers have targets to hit so can be more desperate.

    • +6

10% isn't doable on a brand new model in today's market

      • +1

Ah that’s a fair point, we aren’t in “usual” times I guess.

  • +4

Spaceback is Perth but at Toyota
Bonus is he will apply the obligatory OzB 20% off RRP

    • +4

      Spackbace??

      • +1

        ̶B̶l̶u̶e̶ ̶H̶o̶r̶s̶e̶s̶h̶o̶e̶ OzB loves A̶n̶a̶c̶o̶t̶t̶ ̶S̶t̶e̶e̶l̶ spackbace.

        • SlavOz does not though…

    • +5

I hear he does 50% off. He’s the type of guy willing to forgo a commission and lose his job for another OzBargainer.

    • +8

Only 20? Pfft brand new models get the biggest discounts, didn't you know?

      • +1

Backspace might play games to save face but just keep yelling “OBLIGATORY” until he backs down

        • +2

          keep yelling “OBLIGATORY”

Make sure you get your wand flick up then left otherwise the spell doesn’t work and you won’t get floor mats.

  • +6

Hi I work for Nissin, I should be able to give you a good deal.

    • +1

      Hi I work for Nissin

@ lolz112 Is that a Chinese version of Nissan?

      • +4

        This nissin

        • That is the best website ever created.

        • +1

Holy shit. Did they get the Samurai Champloo team to make this?!

    • +1

can you get me a good deal on the match flavoured noodles please? I want to book now , so that as soon as it comes I can get delivery. Want Best possible price for the noodles.

    • +2

Can you send me a message please?
I am a dealer and want to buy bulk of plain noodle to fix car panel

    • Can you give us free ramen?

  • 100% Japanese owned and made.

      🤣🤣🤣

      • +1

Make sure you opt to pay 5% extra to put it on your Qantas reward credit card ;)

    • +1

      Dont forget discounted egift card.

Came here for the comments and it's "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result."

    • +3

      that covers australian voting nicely….

      • +2

lol, not much to chose from in the first place though…

Coz they all work for the same people anyways.

Now thats global politics for you..

  • +3

Hey bro, I have a relative working in one of the Perth's dealerships for Nissan. We can negotiate a good deal for you, but you have to pay 10% full RRP deposit first.

I swear to god bro this is not a scam. Just PM me.

    • +5

Its not often that we find nice helpful people like yourself…

Last time I met someone this good was when this fine Nigerian prince who emailed me and passed me his entire inheritance for a measly $500…

      God bless you guys

  • +2

    OzCarBrokers.

  • +5

    sigh

If you're hoping for any form of discount then you know nothing about the current market. Going in there asking "last price" or "best price" will just have them showing you the door

Don't try to get a dealer to price their car to your budget, you obviously need to save more if the car is out of your league

    • +2

It's basically "RRP is the price…"

As much as I am against fixed pricing model for car brands, this Covid tax has just about made new car buying a fixed price market.

On a side note… The new 2029 Toyota Yaris EV. Hasn't been announced yet, but just wanted to know, what sort if discount could you do me on one of them, I want to get one ASAP… Oh, and do you trade Fiats?

      • +4

We do trade Fiats, but you'll have to pay us to take it 😉

The sad part is that dealers are discounting cars to silly levels. Cars like the new Kluger, which have limited availability. Had someone come in quoting a price from another dealer and asked us to match, and we said no and sent him packing. He wasn't too happy 😂

    • +1

      Come on

      What's your best price?

Hi, I am This Guy, and you are?

      sonu1111

Hi sonu1111, do you know much about the Pathfinder?

      Yes, what's your best price?

Which trim level are you after?

I am not sure. I just want the new model

When do you want to purchase your new car

I want to secure it before the waiting lines for the new model become huge.

It's hot out here, why don't we go inside, grab a drink, work out exactly what you are after then go for a drive? My boss will work out our best price for exactly what you are after while we are gone.

[Ask a question about finance on the way in]

Basic Road to the Sale. Those 1 in 2 close ratio's your GM talks about are feasible when you qualify "Casper's"

      • How long ago were you in the industry exactly?

Current "best price" is the sticker price. No, my manager won't work out a price, that's just lazy salesmanship

        • 2 years. 7 in sales. Left because like most sales people I was drinking too much.

Yes. Best price is often sticker price. Saying your best price is sticker before they are closed is throwing away your advantage.

I have heard Toyota sales people are used to easy sales, but throwing out the road to the sale as it is "Lazy Salesmanship"? What a waste of enquiry.

          • @This Guy: 2 years ago? Yeah so you don't know what today's market is like

I've told you on numerous occasions but don't try to 'school' me on shit you really don't know

Yes absolutely it's lazy salesmanship. You're really going to just walk them into a manager's office and go "hey, Mr customer wants our best price, I'll leave them with you"? 😂 Fk you would've worked at multiple dealerships over 7 years if that was the case.

            • @spackbace: You can whinge about me schooling you or you can look into the road to a sale and increase your close ratio. It is used by half the top ten brands for a reason.

              • @This Guy: Yep, no where on the road to a sale does it mention "hand-off to Manager".

I get the impression you worked for one of these brands where gross doesn't matter, hence why your only recommendation is to drop your pants, give them cost price, get minimum commission and go for the next one.

See, a real salesperson works hard for gross and in fact has word tracks around people who ask for top dollar, word tracks which maximise gross and ensure they don't just walk out with cost price written on a business card.

However you don't seem to know that if your first bit of advice was "sure, my manager will work that out for you". Either that's what you'd do, which is dumb, or you're just saying that to bring them in, and lying to them, which is also dumb.

Either way, it's plain to see why you're out of the industry and I'm still in it, with more experience than you.

So again, don't try to attempt to school me, coz it's actually rather hilarious 😂

                • @spackbace: You make a lot of assumptions for a sales person.

Yes. Word tracks are one tool. FAB and Six position sell are other tools basic tools. Word tracks where great for pushing finance without breaking the law. Qualification, becoming your client's best friend for the day by actually meeting their needs is even better.

I am not sure who you work with, but discounters don't last a month.

Who primes your clients for cross sells while you sign out and pull a car around for them?

Sales managers like to approve deals and allocate stock. The good ones like an introduction because it is their business. Business managers close finance deals. This is the same everywhere.

There is no need for the insults. You sell Toyota. In Australia they don't push white glove service like in Japan, the benchmark most brands I have sold push for.

                  • @This Guy: I'll leave it with this gem of advice as to why you should never arrempt to tell me what to do

My boss will work out our best price

Don't ever reply to my comments again, because I'll just summarise you with that

                    • @spackbace: Yes. Usually D/A or free mats and a bonnet protector. Like you said, sales people don't discount. And they also don't approve sales.

                        • @spackbace: Yes. Road to the sale. Now practice the rest.

                          • @This Guy: Stop replying

Getting the boss to get their signature isn't the road to a sale, nor is it salesmanship of any kind.

Just stop, you've shown your ineptitude already, it's hilarious

It's ok to admit your manager closed your deals, hence why you only lasted 7 years, it's just that I wouldn't admit that publicly.

                            Stop while you're behind.

                            • @spackbace: You are publicly posting as a Toyota rep.

You showed gross incompetence for talking down OP who is displaying buying signals.

You displayed a complete lack of respect for the brand you represent by slagging off on your unofficial rep account.

I don't care if you only pull $60k a year. Or if you hate me. Those are your problems. But I hate it when sales people humiliate the general population, like you did to OP.

You have two hears/eyes, one mouth. Use them in the same ratio. Or use your brain and make dumb claims in private or under a non associated account.

                              • +2

@This Guy: Did you need to talk to your manager to process that reply? 😂

                                • @spackbace: I have these weird things called work and a family.

                                  • +2

@This Guy: Well I figured since your boss took care of your customers he must take care of your replies!

                                    • @spackbace: Yes, everything goes past my boss. I am very grateful for learning that habit from car sales. Worst mistake I made selling cars could have lost my boss $2k (screwed the bonuses). Worst mistake I can make today will kill people or put 30 people out of work.

But yes, for low stakes like car sales being a cowboy is fun.

                                      • @This Guy: See, when you're a capable salesperson you can sell at RRP, so no need to get the boss to "work out a price". You hand it to them, they sign it and off you go

I know RRP might be a phantom concept to you, hence why I don't need you to try to school me 😂

                                        • @spackbace: PM me your number and I will text a photo of my last com sheet. It's missing a bullitt mustang at full rrp, with two rounds of genuine accessory cross sells (went on our gross) because look at that com sheet. Why would I care?

                                          • @This Guy: I'm sure your boss helped close that one lol

My boss will work out our best price

Wait… Ford… white glove service?! Jees how many brands did you work for over a 7yr period lol

In Australia they don't push white glove service like in Japan, the benchmark most brands I have sold push for.

                                            • @spackbace: Of cause. No I in team. He made a call when my guy got bumped down a few allocations for someone who paid more. And let me know when I had more genuine accessories to sell.

But seriously, our gross expectation exceeded best practice with a significant portion of coms based on gross. I had no problem letting any of my bosses close when they wanted to because most had 20 years on me, noticed something I didn't and made us all more money. pm your number if you want a com slip.

Don't take it out on me if your sales manager sucks.

                                            • @spackbace: Didn't do Ford training. One of the best sales people I know was trained by Ford. But I needed to borrow from other brand's training to keep CSI high so I could cross sell. Not many customers for cheap Fords.

7 years sales. 2 years in cars. 2 dealerships. 5 top ten brands. 2 Minor. Plus used. Both dealers let me cross sell.

If I stayed in I would have wanted to move over to Toyota as while your sales training sucks, your management training and career progression on the east coast was industry best at the time.

              • +1

                @This Guy:

You can whinge about me schooling you

                HAHAHAHAHA… please… make it stop :D

Your's is always the worst advice ever. I don't know if you bought some slacks, a white shirt and a tie one day and decided to LARP as a car sales person, or if you wrote a book and you are trying to shill it.

I was a car sales dude many years ago as well, and everything you say, every time you come out on this forum and say it, is absolute garbage.

You schooling @spack… pull the other one champ :D

                • @pegaxs: Sales changed ~10 years ago. Industry fired most of the old school pushy new sales people when manufacturers tied feedback KPI's to bonuses (don't receive 80%, no bonus). Then it changed again five years ago with the financial royal commission destroying the finance close model.

Modern sales is just asking open questions and listening.

        • +3

          Lol

How did I miss this when it was live? Dang!

  • Go to John Cadogan's Autoexpert service if you don't want to do the leg work.
They make the dealers work for your money and take a cut from the savings. At the end of the day though, if the cars in demand you're going to have a hard time.
    https://autoexpert.com.au/

    • +3

That’s what they tell you they do. What autonexpert does is palm it off to a third party (and collect a fee). Those third parties send an email to their favourite dealers, probably only a few, then send you a price. If you think it’s not good enough, tough.

      They don’t work hard.

  • +2

People here and around the internet can be a bit brusque but it is very obvious if you haven't done any due diligence and just reached out to ask for help. If you had done some research you wouldn't have dumped all those requirements straight up, or perhaps you could have led your post with "here's what I have found from this website, and these news/reports. Am I on the right track/can you guys confirm?" People will be more liable to help then.

    • +2

This. Plenty of this. It’s a really lazy question, there are heaps of them. Everyone is used to instant answers and dont seem to work to get a decent one.

I blame Facebook. of the groups I’m in on Facebook the same question gets asked time and time again. Because you can’t scroll through questions and responses easily, old ones seem to disappear and aren’t sorted in any way. Forums are typically better in this regard - sorted grouped responses.

  • Last I heard car companies were having manufacturing problems, due to a lack of computer chips. So I don't think they can make cars fast enough to sell them at the moment

Instead of a discount, you might have better luck getting them to 'throw something in', like floormats.

  • Cars are in short supply with long waits and you want a good deal as well?

I can tell you any good deal will just go on the back burner if not be cancelled.

Just be happy to get a car in a reasonable time

  • There are some discounts that you can get on Nissans Membership of the Big4 caravan park chain for a certain timeframe (3 months?) will give a few hundred dollars off. Some trade union memberships also give something.
Probably the best you’ll do ATM, particularly in Perth.
I would normally say buy from an east coast dealer and get it freighted across, but I doubt that this will be cheaper currently.
Maybe buy 2 and sell one in 6 months for $10k over cost….
Oh no, your not talking a Y62……

  • I understand it's a pain in the arse if everyone posts open ended questions but I do think it's the right place for it. The number of times I've purchased something and been told you should've asked me or should've done this or that… so fire away!

Answer: good luck getting any discounts but try getting some extras like warranty or servicing, floor mats or free ashtray servicing….

  • Damn people are cold. So much negativity.

Why not try your luck seeing if someone in the OzBargain brotherhood can hook you up with a deal?

    Don't ask you don't get :)

  • AnYoNe in PeRtH WoRkS and WoUlD Be AbLe to GiVe GoOd …..

    poll options…

  • My mate at Nissan said they can do it for RRP and not a penny less.

Most new models have a embargo on the price, so you won't get a good deal unless they are desperate.
