I've been very happy with my A9. Had it for a month or two now.

do you use it for carpet? wondering the performance/battery with carpet usage..

      • interested to know this too. was trying to get V10 from gearbyte deal but OOS :(

      • +1

I use it a little for carpet. But only to pick up visible crumbs etc. It works well for this purpose.

It does seem to pick up a lot of dust/fluff from carpet, but I also know it doesn't come close to the suction power of my (corded) Miele.

25-30 mins on medium for me. I'm very impressed for the money. My previous vac was an expensive Kirby. My wife thought that we'd use the A9 for spot cleaning and still keep the Kirby for the main vaccuming but she is also impressed with the A9 so Kirby has been relocated to the garage for car cleaning duties. A9 is now the main vac.
Will be interested to see how the battery life is after 12 months.

      • Really good on carpet. I found that you can get away with using it on medium or even low power as the roller seems to pick up 99% of fluff etc. Seems to be way better at dealing with long hair than my old dyson v6 too. Dust hopper is too small but other than that very happy.

Was $188 recently. Great vac so far.

    • I am getting $186.42 by OP's link

      • Price has been updated since my post.

          You should post often

  • How are these for using in a car? Can you get to all the nooks and crannies a car floor carpet has?

I think this would be good for carpet stairs we have but need more use than that.

    • It's not going to be a manouverable as a barrel vac with a small head that you can get under the seats etc.

I wouldn't suggest a vac like this for car cleaning.

      • Thanks.

  • shout out to the mod that updated this post for me.

  • $53.90 here with a few weeks delivery time https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/124775521081

    • Looks like a hacked ebay account, wouldn't buy from this seller

      • Have this one for a month, really happy with this vac. Battery lasts as advertised. I use it on floor, carpet with eco mode and it picks up everything that it's supposed to, can't go wrong at this price.

      • +1

Interesting, I notice that the feedback profile for the $53.90 one at https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/124775521081 shows no feedback left for others.

  • 23000Pa with 120W suction power

I think you mean 120 AW (air watts).

  • Anyone know what are the suction powers for each of the power settings?
I assume the one they mentioned is the suction power on the highest power settings?

  • Can this model be charged via the dock?

    • +1

      No dock
The supposed dock is just a holder pretty much

  • I'm interested in buying this item however would like to know more about customer service in the event of any warranty issues. I note one purchaser described their issues at https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/xiaomi-australia (scroll down to Xiaomi Viomi A9). I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with their customer service, and/or if OP can please comment.

    • Cant say Ive had any experience with the customer service apart from they seem pretty active on ozbargain posts in the past.

    • I have bought mine from PC Byte, which is another storefront from the same company, from what I understand.

I've only used it a handful of times (3-5) and it stopped working (the battery LEDs keep flashing). The manual says that it's either because the vacuum blocked, the room temperature is outside 0-50C, or a non-original charger is used - none of which was the case. I emailed them over the weekend - waiting for the response. I appreciate that the physical stores would be closed, but I would expect them to still be responding to customer service questions and warranty claims.

I also called the number on the PayPal transaction but the number is disconnected.

Has anyone else had to contact them?

  • How does this compare to dreame v10?

    • I’d like to know this too?
