    Yes, definately, the Canon PowerShot S-series is probably the most compact and yet capable of high quality photos/full hd videos even slow mo 240fps videos and also with the most manual control you can find out there for its size comparable to the G series. Great camera if you don't need the effects from SLRs.

      Is the warranty valid in Australia? If so, do you handle warranty claims or is it direct to manufacturer?

        Warranty is send back to base, so you would have to send it back to HK for warranty issues.
        If this was a issue you could look at buying the Mack Diamond warranty that will cover it for everything even drops etc and you can take it to local agent.

  this camera is EXCELLENT. i bought one just after new years, there was a post about this being at JB hifi for $420 but you had to ask for a price match.

  i love the camera, and i'm taking it with me overseas to the states instead of my bulky DSLR. quality of photos is awesome!
