When you turn car off, so power disconnects, it thinks you've pulled it out so connects to your phone.
There is no proximity (in ear) sensor. Rather useless unless you have a 12V socket that stays active always.

  Negs for pointing out this has been on sale for weeks at this price, plus Deal a month before at $5 (reduced @$8 before that), so stock was likely to be very limited - as observed?
