  • Actually not bad - Amazon price is ~36USD, so not an extremely good deal :)

The quality is good, nice finish - con: quite low bass, especially for an over ear headphone.

If you are looking for sound quality, skip. If looking for good look and… whatever else, good deal! :)

Ah, keep in mind: 47 AUD delivered. I always get fooled by the 3x number for a sec :D

I question the authenticity. It's cotd after all.

I also noticed the 36USD on Amazon but its for the headphone only model. The best amazon price for this model is actually 59.99USD.

I and others BOYCOTT COTD - Crap of the Day

  • +2

Would not buy anything from cotd. Had enough dramma from the acer netbook deal already…

    • +2

true but with $20 credit owing $26 for this is ok

Funnily enough the only thing I've ever bought was a pair of Philips headphones (bluetooth wireless) and they have been fantastic. I wouldn't trust them with a laptop but headphones certainly.

    • I bought a Sennheiser Noise-Cancelling Headphones from them. Good price and service was good. I also bought the Acer and with the $20 credit, got this Stretch Headphones for my son. I'm not in a hurry, so I don't mind.

  • Cheapest I can find for a "so called" unbreakable headphones… so I got one, hope this one lasts longer than the cheapies I normally buy.

Deal sites are scam sites. This has no place on OzBargain. Negging.

    • Dude its catch of the day. Not dodgey I-Sell-Fake-Harddrives deal sites.
Sure they might not always be the best price, sure they might abuse Today tonight before their crash-a-thon sales, but it's not a scam.

Biased much? Not sure if you even know the definition of 'scam'.

  • Id rather see COTD stuff on ozbargain than all those itunes app/games that are not bargins.

  • Once you separate the obviously biased reviews from the seemingly real reviews, they actually seem very decent for the shipped price. Am interested to see what sound quality they produce.

Interesting on the apple FAQ - apparently they've never heard of multiple driver headphones/earphones. Probably not that surprising actually.

  • For others who worry about COTD. (I am one of them) I just want to let you know that I order 1 on 04/02 and Monday (06/02) I received email from COTD that it has been dispatch. Looks like they are shipping this quickly.

    • well this sucks - it's arrived and there is no in-line volume controls with microphone as advertised on their website
i've written in to complain about this to them (no phone number to call)

      what are my options, guys?
dpoon73 & AMLagonda, would like to hear your thoughts as well :)

      • They arrived already? wow thats quick, mine are still 'processing', ughh.

Let us know what response you get, I will be complaning too if mine dont have the volume control.

      • I got mine today and YES there is no in-line volume controls with microphone. A little unhappy because the headphone only model is selling at $36 at Amazon. But I am not that upset that I need to return it

      • there is no in-line volume controls with microphone as advertised on their website

Unless they've changed the wording on their site, there does not appear to be any mention of volume control….. the only reference I see is from the OP in the body of the post…..

Actually if you pull up the cached version http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:ZnP5k-Z… "Water resistant in-line volume controls with mic" is on the 5th line of the description.

        • In that case, everyone who bought these should be requesting some form of compensation or a refund….

        • +1

i am in agreement with that (:
but obviously they will only address the people who bother to raise it up to them..

  • If you have ordered these Headphones, complain to COTD about the missing in-line mic and they will give you $10 credit for their site.

    • hmm not quite the compensation i was seeking..
but thanks for letting us know!! (:

    • I just made a complaint and they tried to weasel out of it saying that the product differs from the video. Second complaint coming at them with a linkage of the "cached" version courtesy of Google. Sent

      • they can't weasel out of this.. i can't imagine the number of ppl who, like myself, saved a copy of the page when it still had a description of the item that INCLUDED the mic and volume controls!!

  • I'll be honest and say I didnt know these came with a volume control or mic…

I bought them for a 11 year old girl to watch TV with and these look like they wont break like most do.

  • got mine in the mail today.

  • got mine in the mail as well today. No inline remote and mic. chuckie20 has sorted me out with a pic of the page when it did have those details. Anyone have any idea where I might be able to pick up the inline remote from. Ideally the proprietary one, but another water resistant one if needed?

  • Got mine yesterday. No mic. Emailed COTD, let's see what these fools say.

  • I cant see that these things look that strong lol and the sound quality is shocking, I couldnt use them for myself.

  • I received a full refund including shipping (store credit) when I complained about no inline volume control. They let me keep them as well which is a real bargain!! David
