    If only looking for a tiny boost in sound quality, and a big boost in boomy bass, these would suffice. Why not try a set of speakers instead? Like S2000pro

      Was looking not to spend more than 200$ as its just for my room and I can't (don't need to) blast high volumes. Just an improvement over the sound that comes out of the TV. If there are any such set of speakers that fit my criteria let me know.

        The bass from the sub will travel very far through a house, so it will not suit your circumstances at all. Otherwise Edifier S880DB on sale is close to $300. I think the best bet if you are worried about sound travel, would be a really good set of wireless headphones, it would sound better than any soundbar.

    It was good improvement over my tv sound (modern Hisense). My one irritation is that sound adjustment is slow through the tv remote.

  Dont think this has support for Dolby Atmos, only Dolby Digital. I'm not even sure if its able to do Dolby TrueHD and thats like a 10 year old tech.
