Man this thing looks heavy and over engineered. For $3 though it's worth it just for the 18650s.
The "18650s" will be suspiciously light, and 300mAhr if you are lucky.

There are some very cheap Chinese torches with real Cree XML, but not $3 cheap.

Get the kmart usb rechargeable version. $12 from memory. Much smaller with three light types and a sensor function. Red light is great when cooking at night or when you don't want to blind people.

I’m guessing at full brightness there will be enough charge in those batteries to make a dash to the letterbox and back.
I bought ones that looked like this, and the tilt part was not strong enough to hold the headlamp up. One little nod of the head and the lamp tilts down. Got a refund. YMMV

I got on to eBay chat and they gave me the $15 coupon back. And then I got refund from the seller. Otherwise you’ll get your small refund and lose out on the coupon you used, and if it’s under ‘posted’, seller can claim that. So atleast he’ll try get your voucher back (: eBay plus we’re great with me!
For what it's worth - mine was shipped and due to be delivered tomorrow, so definitely not a scam.
