    I was already logged into tricky dicky's before the sale started, as well as paypal. So it was just a matter of adding it to my cart, then clicking through the various buttons to order it :D That's probably why I was able to buy one so easily, I didn't have to sit there entering my credit card details or address details etc etc :)

        Yeah, I got logged out as well, but I already had my CC details on my account so when I logged back in it didn't take too long to submit the order. I was about to change my billing address (it's being delivered to my work), but figured bugger it just submit. Lucky I did because it was sold out a minute after I ordered…

      They only had a limited number they could offer for that price. I'm sure they've still got stock for full price, but that doesn't mean they can afford or have arrangements with Canon to be able to sell more for $696.

    I the website crashed on me when I was making payment, I only reordered because I thought it did not go through, this was only one or two minutes but look at the order numbers, 700 orders on their website in just afew minutes. Likely they sold about 3000 cameras.

        Wow, I just managed to order.

        After the above the camera was still in my shopping cart. It showed 0 stock, so I could not proceed to checkout.

        I reloaded the shopping cart every couple of minutes, hoping for a change in status.

        And there it was, just now, 30 min after sale started! Managed to pay with no problem. Order confirmation email received!
