This came up in my Westpac app. The link appears to be generic and you won't need to be a Westpac customer to sign up by using that link.
Do your own homework and compare both supply charge + usage charge as every household is different.

In WA they have 51% off gas and service charges available which could be a good combination with this
Putting aside the pricing and offers that AGL offers, I don't like it as a corporate citizen. It has a long list of regulatory non-compliance matters, and environmental issues, which have resulted in fines.
It recently withdrew an application to establish a gas-import facility in Victoria, and apparently lost a lot of money in the process:
"In a statement released to the Australian Stock Exchange last week AGL said it had estimated it would spend $130 million on the project, with $22 million being “expensed” so far"
I assume AGL will look to recover that loss in one way or another.
For those looking to switch, cashrewards offers similar promos; cashback of $112 for dual fuel signups
Pro cashrewards:
* More provider choices
* Cash rather than giftcards
Con cashrewards:
* Takes a few weeks/months to get your money (could be similar situation at Westpac, but no clue)
The CR one is worth a post. :) i will go with AGL via CR.
How ? I think you need to be logged into westpac first for it to track? Dont think you can double dip?
Yea. CR is a better deal.
Can't seem to find AGL. Did you see AGL?
New Electricity Signups $70.00 for cash rewards so ill go via wbc its a better offer
So $100 for switching gas OR electricity?
we have electricity already. can we just sign up gas only and still eligible? also nothing mention this is targeted though I'm a westpac customer
I think you qualify as long as you migrate one of gas or electricity. You can also qualify if you move an existing agl connection to the new plan.
yeah. so i've signed up the gas deal via this westpac link. there is nothing mention about this $100 digital gift card upon completion or confirmation. How do we know we will get the gift and when?
Typical steps:
1.Wait a month or two
2.Complain (screenshot of offer if they dispute)
3.Profit
@silenthillrocks: dang… they have changed the offer slightly yesterday on 1/7.. i didn't take any screenshot for the previous offer… did you save screenshot it?
@shortgum: Dang, didn't screenshot it as was planning to sign up in late July. Sucks that they updated it when they said it expires at that time.
May I ask how did you find out about this? Did you speak to AGL or Westpac? I am trying to find out more information about this offer, but there isn't much on Westpac offer page. After clicking through to AGL and all I can see is AGL's current offer, up to $400 credits for essential plus plan.

agl no longer offer $400 credits end of june. thats why is not showing up. they have this offer $100 gift card combine with $400 credit just days ago. we did sign up but did not take a record of this as they also changed fews condition here about ebilling that is not there before.
we should have record a screenshot this offer before end of june
if you want $400 credit you need to sign up below links but won't get $100 gift card
@shortgum: Ok got it. Thank you. In this case might not bother anymore. But $100 giftcard is upfront and $400 credits are over two years.
Not a good deal, there is another promotion $400 credit (in 24 months)
Where are you seeing $400 credit? That URL just leads to the "Get up to 51% off gas usage and supply charges for 12 months" offer.
It was end of financial year deal, only till 3rd July
does anyone know if you are existing AGL customer for electricity only and want to bring gas to AGL would you be eligible for this offer?
Yes I think so although we haven't received anything yet.
In Victoria I have AGL for gas but use another company for electricity.
