Alright…review of it (probably comparable to blu-ray player).
Budget for new cables, lucky I had a generic component cable tucked away in a drawer. Why? The stock cable that came with my player had so much noise and lines on the screen Charlie Sheen knocked on my door. ANY cable that doesn't come with the player is almost guaranteed to be a step up.
It DOES 'pause' and stutter, it dropped a couple of frames about 3 times in the whole dvd, not bad, not good, but not bad. You wouldn't expect this on any real DVD player but considering that the factory probably pumps them out for $8 or so…
It's a DVD PLAYER, IT PLAYS DVDS! Just like a toaster toasts bread, a blender blends, a phone makes calls. About the only thing worse you could use to play this would be a banana. I think even kids would tell you it's a pile of crap! Even dvds of the wiggles don't deserve to be played on this!
If your after pure dollar savings, it's reasonable, it does the job. But if you still want a decent quality player but not busting the bank, go the next step up, which usually starts around $79-85 to $120 for a player (if your going for the blu-ray). Blu-ray tech isn't advanced enough yet to pump out decent players for $50, remember, it's alot more data that has to be processed as well.
Enough bitching out of me…I should of stuck with my PS2!
ive never seen a Bluray Player that cheap .
I saw the cheap blu ray players at Corinda Coles a few nights ago - so it is at least in some other stores. In a way I was tempted to buy one - but in another way, I remembered I already have a PS3 and blu ray burner which hardly get used…
MOTHERF****
I just paid $15 for a 2 channel crappy nu-tec plain old dvd player…
