Got a very similar pair from Hype DC (I think it's the same company?), surprisingly very comfortable shoes. Very flexible and got plenty of room to move in there.

Reckon you should be right - fine for me, as I have quite wide flat feet so normally need the extra space in that regard. These flex quite a bit sideways so I can squeeze in a bit better.
A non-leather product. Not really cheap for that type of shoe using synthetics
