95% dark chocolate will taste just like the cardboard box it is shipped in. :-) The 78 is good and the 85 is edible.

    • +3

The 99% taste like pure cacao bean, absolutely no sweetness & all bitter. Wouldn't recommend lol

      • +1

Where did you find 99%?? I want to buy 99% seriously but never seem to find one

        • +1

Lindt stores will have it. Coles have it in some stores

        • +1

They had 95% once in Coles and also 99% in the Lindt stores and I've tried both. I'm a fan of 90% Dark chocolate but would absoutely not recommend any higher. The bitterness isn't that much of a jump, but the chocolcate is absotely dry as - cardboard like.

          • @chalky: I have tried a lot of Coles in metro Adelaide and can't see them.
Guess have to go all the way. Down to hrabour town someday

break off a fraction of a block and let it melt on your tongue with a coffee. probably still wont like it but its not meant to be eaten like milk chocolate

        • +1

Or a nice glass of red! Many seem to think you munch on several rows in one sitting.

    • It’s stops being moreish… might be ok to use as cooking chocolate?

    • +3

85% tastes really good to me..

    • Rather do the cinnamon challenge

    • +1

I use it for my morning Mocha, it melts well when steaming the milk. Add your choice of sweetener (monkfruit myself) to the mix. Best morning beverage!!!

It's odd but I think 90% is more palatable than the 85%, not sure why.

99% is a piss take. Tastes like a frozen ashtray.

      • Not odd but it's probably because lindt process the cocoa differently above 85%… I think it's called Dutch processing. You must have good taste buds to pick it up because I devour the bars too quickly to notice lol

    • It's the Milky Bar Kid

    • Great for stripping all impurities from the lining of your mouth, but that’s about it.

Added bonus is that no one else touches it, so always available whenever I get the urge.

This shit is the bomb if your on a low carb/sugar diet. After two weeks this tastes like 75%.

  • +8

78 is that sweet spot. i won the $1000 of lindt comp so been going through all of them. for simple plain chocolate, the 78%.

  • +2

If you’re in NSW also available for $2 at Harris Farms this week

1-2 months wait is a joke..

    • These things are always shipped ahead of time. It’s just an estimate after all.

Christ, normal Lindt is bad enough.
I cannot image the horror that 90+ Lindt must be.

  • I had some of this before.
It's so bitter it's like punishment chocolate :)

  • Excellent. My mum loves these the darker the better for her. Grabbing 10!

        Grow up Uncle.

    • Or more like stores need to be more competitive??

      • More competitive?
You want the chocolate for free?

        • No one said chocolate for free, But since you said i thought of telling you,

A few month ago a nearby Woolies was giving away kitkat for free (like near the valentine's day) to pretty much all the customers. Like enough for may be 2000 people at least (like 1 per person or transaction depending on staff member at checkouts to anyone)

      • Anyone from Marvel???

      • +1

It's not really fair that this post is being downvoted: Coles and Woolworths were sued by the ACCC a decade or so ago for predatory pricing. They sent many local fresh produce stores out of business, only to jack up their prices once they were gone.

    • You're right. Everyone, pour one out for the biggest conglomerate in Australia, Woolworths Grp :'(

  • Wish I had prime atm

  • If you want 99% just buy a bag of Coca powder. It should be much cheaper.

    • cant make shaved dark choc w cocoa powder

  • +1

Note that it's minimum order of 3!

Btw does anyone know how to filter out results with minimum orders?

  • +3

Damn, sad I missed this. 95% is my favourite. When you start eating stuff with less sugar you taste the sweetness in stuff with less of it. Also, no one else steals my chocolate lol.

  • I got the 90% delivered today. It’s bitter, I think it’s an acquired taste.

    • It is, just don't go back to the sweet stuff for a while

  • If in Sydney at Harris Farm 2 for $4

  • Check best before dates. 3 bars I ordered, 2 in Dec 21, 1 in June 21.

  • The woolworths brand Frey 91% is quite nice, often on 'sale' for $2.50
