If you haven't played FTL yet, get it, play it, love it. Just don't try hard mode until you've played it quite a lot and really want a challenge; there are often moments in hard mode where you'll get destroyed and there was nothing you could do, so don't ruin your experience of the game without experiencing the rest of it first :)
