Hey guys, I'm looking at ordering some shirts from vista print just for personal use. Anyone know if the quality of the print is any good? Scoopon has a deal $15 for $75 worth of stuff, so it looks like it will be about 2 or 3 shirts I could get.
Thanks in advance
Vista Print - Quality of print for shirts?

quality of pictures on the mouse pads and keyrings are usually really crap. Most of the other stuff is good though
The quality of any printed image is reliant on the quality of the image supplied - and of course if the surface you are printing to is not photo quality paper/surface (so, fabric, mouse mat etc) then of course the image is going to deteriorate!
I was just saying my experience… My wife is a professional photographer and the quality of image provided was excellent.
Can part of the $75 be used toward postage? If so it's probably a good buy.
Just gone off and checked - not included.
I ordered a shirt with a business logo as a test, not too bad but really only good for 3-4 washes before the print started to fade quite badly….
I'm happy with the t-shirts I have from there, but mine have text on them rather than photos. Been wearing them for a few years now and they're holding up well.
I love the quality of their black tees themselves - thick fabric and no side seams.I wouldn't pay full price/list price for anything from VistaPrint though. If you sign up for their newsletter, you'll get a new offer every day. Usually for a list of products which are free or half price (must pay shipping). Occasionally you'll get half-price t-shirts and free shipping over a certain amount ($30 or $50), which is very nice indeed.
If shipping isn't included in the Scoopon, I'd recommend you check on how much that'll be beforehand as it can get expensive very quickly and waiting for a emailed offer may work out cheaper.
I've been meaning to ask this somewhere for ages, so I'm glad this topic came up… Does anyone know, if you order a white shirt, with a logo that was a blue circle and a white centre - and there was some black text in the middle of the white… do they screenprint the white centre (with white paint)? Or do they only print the blue circle and black text, and the white area is just left unprinted?
The reason I ask is, I designed a logo just like that. I was thinking and realised if it was a black shirt, then they'd have to print the white centre, so the black text would be visible. But if the shirt was white, there's no need to print the white centre.
Anyone know?
They do embroidered products too, but I see they are not showing up in the list of available products - if you do a search they are there though.
I have experienced both business cards and t-shirts.
Business card quality reflects what you pay for. It was acceptable. Better than expected, but obviously not as good as $250. They had a promotion of $10 including delivery, but somehow it worked out to be more like $20 after all changes were made matt finish one-sided.
Delivery was faster than expected for both items - so I wouldn't recommend paying for a rushed express service unless you need it. About 9 days (inc weekends).
RE: shirts - quality and feel of the material I bought was ok. So far a few washes and it is still ok. The printout was good too. i.e. better than a do it yourself inkjet equivalent.
I purchased the t-shirt with a coupon for about $7.49 - (started out at $4.99). Additional t-shirts were about $10 AUD each.
t-shirt comes in an individual plastic wrap.
I've only had positive experience with vista print. I use them all the time for business cards and postcards. All of them turned out really good.
You should try them first by ordering small quantity and see how you go. Definately worthwhile as you would save a lot of money.
