Trying to find a deal on NBN right now and opened up the Telstra app to see this offer. Also saw it on Telstra homepage from a desktop on chrome browser but looks like they have personalized homepage content so even in incognito found it tricky to get it to show. Either way, the promo looks to be real and working.
"Add the $90/mth nbn plan and earn 30,000 Telstra Plus points. Use code ONLINE30KPOINTS at checkout. Apply by 31 May 2021.
4G coverage required. Backup speeds capped at 25/2 Mbps. Actual speeds may be lower. Join Telstra Plus by 30 Jun. Eligibility criteria apply."
Couldn't find any links to the eligibility criteria. Tried adding the promo code at checkout and it worked. Under the same section as "Connection fee" it said "Your 30,000 points = $0". https://imgur.com/a/JSoEzHb
Hit a major snag as our address is new in the system and while both neighbours either side get NBN it says our address gets ADSL which is dumb because the Telstra DBYD shows our FTTP node just around the corner from me, and I share a curbside Telstra pit with my neighbour. Guessing admin BS so will call them and hope they honour waived connection fee etc.
Anyway hoping someone gets a free 30k points. Depending on what you use them for, can get you decent value.
You’d pay $90 for a 50 mbps connection? You’re far too kind!
