Most games that are identical to that of other regions, despite the different region code, will support DLC purchased in a region that isn't the same as where it was purchased.
For example, I have American copies of Dead Cells and Assassin's Creed IV, but downloaded both free and paid DLC from the AU eshop without any issues regarding compatibility.
I have an Australian copy of Smash Bros and Mutant Football League, but have purchased numerous DLCs for these games from the US eshop (cheap way to use foreign gold coins before switching back to AU) and they also work flawlessly.
I'm not the PC police, but might be worth getting into the habit of representing Japan as JPN, as the 3 letters you chose to use is considered a racial slur in most parts of the world.
I know what you're saying, but for me, I consider the intention of the one saying it. If the intention was not derogatory, then no offense will be seen from me, and similarly, rather than classifying more words as offensive, I choose to consider that there is zero purpose for me to worry about a word that (if the above is true) has no problematic meaning.
The code also seems to exclude the lightning deals.

Just note that when buying imports from US or JAP Switch games that any DLCs need to be purchased from the same region.
Updates are downloaded like normal. EUR games (which is mostly what OzGameShop stocks) are no different from local copies
