1080P Projector Recommendation, under $300

Looking for a cheap projector to get by for a year or 2 until I'm set on getting either the tk800m or a ultra short throw like the vava 4k laser. they are quite pricey and before we blow money on one we just want something we can test out and have an occasional movie night on.
it needs to accept a 1080p signal at minimum

I've got my eye on this one but its shipping from US only https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PZ6J3RH/ref=ox_sc_act_t…
has good reviews but is over budget for something I'm expecting to only use for a little while. also accepts 4k input and downscales

I would even consider this 720p one if there was more info or reviews for it, mainly want to know if it takes a 1080p input… https://auspost.com.au/shop/product/ibright-720p-led-multime…

I have been eyeing projectors for a while but just cant decide which to get, there's always a bunch of trade offs so I'm happy to settle for something really cheap to try it out for a while with a chrome cast with google tv plugged in and some nice speakers.

Edit: I wonder if this one tone maps HDR content https://www.amazon.com/Projector-APEMAN-Electronic-Correctio…

This one for $343.53 delivered is highly rated on AliExpress, and it's 3D. Sorry don't have time for a more in depth post.

    • What do you mean 3d? Like you wear 3d glasses and play 3d content on it?

    • this looks awesome man, thank you!

  • Also, op don't buy into the rated lumens/lux, they are greatly over rated with these cheap projectors. Check out pictures posted by reviewers for a more real world view.

For value per dollar, especially with budget electronics from China, I'd avoid Amazon and the like. The Amazon sellers source their products from Alibaba and then on sell them at an increased price. The only benifit for ordering from Amazon is buyer protection and faster postage.

Clear might be able to offer recommendations and advice, he's very knowledgeable on tech from China.

    • really appreciate the info, I found the lumens stuff has been very vague in the low budget stuff that's why i was looking for recommendations instead, also going to be used in a dark room anyway so lumens wont matter much.

      sorry who is "clear"?
