Package description says "wrapper-free, with biodegradable, 100% water-soluble film" I don't think I've ever used a Finish tablet that was required to be unwrapped.
There are some Finish tablets that require wrapper removal. So this isn't universal
I think powerball classic in the large box requires wrapper removal
the wrapping dissolves, tested it in the sink.

I went in store today, and the deal is not on. The website also reflects the lack of half price promotion.
