Since I got Woolworths mobile they stopped sending offers to me… Feels like it was better to get separate rewards card and claim bigger discounts.. !

Got it. What a waste as I never spend more than $30!
Woolies should know this by now.

    • Is this…sarcasm?

    • haha, sounds like they know damn well

$120 per order is too hard…
maybe 5 packs of 375ml*30 coca?

  • $25 off $150 for me, MYSHOP25

  • Im very annoyed that I wasn't targeted for this offer. I have been waiting a long time for the sequel to my last episode with Woolworths online. The system would not accept my cc and it wouldn't even accept ww gift cards and top it off CS could not assist me.

it's nice to have things brought over, but they have limit of 10 items,
for example soft drink bottles, 10 limit
    cans , 10 limit.

    lame

  • Are the online stores of Woolies/Coles still more expensive than in store or did that change?

    • That was only at Coles (for regular priced items, not specials). It did change a few years back (apart from some things on their eBay store).

      • Ah, I see. Thanks for the heads up, might start ordering online then to save time.

        • +3

I've been doing the same to save time (at Woolworths), the only disadvantages I've found are (it might different in other states/stores):

          • Risk of getting something with short expiry (good idea to check the order when you collect it so you can check and switch it over).
          • You can only order some fresh bakery items, if you pick up after 3pm for some annoying reason.
          • Fruit & Veg is an obvious risk to trust someone picking it out, if you buy it at the supermarket.
          • A couple of bread items (eg all but 1 brand of crumpets) aren't online, that are sold in the store.
          • Might miss in store clearances for items.

Usually end up ducking into the store to get a few items for the above reasons, before picking up the click & collect order.

I don't do online for Coles, they don't accept Coles gift card online.

@hamza23: Refund policy for Woolies online is quite generous though in the event they pick incorrectly or a dud fruit/veg.

          • @hamza23: I've been doing the same to search for discounted items in-store (e.g., meat). Just an additional issue is that they may miss some items though it's been more than 1 year since it last happened

@sigplay: You failed to mention milk. I have seen them grab whichever milk and it always had the shorter expiry

              • @PAOK11: haha I imagine that happens but we rarely buy dairy milk due to allergies so we normally don't have this issue. maybe a good rule of thumb is that if it's an item that has an expiry period of less than a month (e.g., milk, meat) or if quality is of concern (e.g. fruits, vegetables), then you'd be better off getting it manually. for us though, store pick up is still valuable because it saves 30-60minutes in buying the usual stuff (sugar, pasta, soap, etc) plus you get the benefit of promos like this (or the $10 off $150 spend in the catalogue)

                • @sigplay: Sounds like you have a big family and the time saving may be worth it. For me personally, if im going to pick it up anyway and do a little shopping regardless I don't see the benefit of online/click and collect

                  • @PAOK11: not really a big family but we do most of our shopping with woolies. just too lazy to go to other stores i guess. still saves us a bit of time when we're out and since we add items to our cart when watching tv, etc, it doesn't feel like we're losing time at home at all. that being said, i understand that some, like yourself, prefer to just buy in-store and that's perfectly fine as well

Boo! "Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon promotion."

What a shame, although I know I spend way too much with them already to be targetted for these offers.

    • +2

Yeah I am actually thinking of getting a 2nd rewards card to hopefully get targeted for offers

      • brilliant idea. I wonder if they cross-check credit cards with rewards accounts?

        • +1

haha zero clue although we use discounted gift cards to pay so it will probably be hard for them to track

  • Usual order is around $100 but this week had $150 worthless in my cart, got to the checkout & thought "hey, wonder if there's a coupon code on ozbargain?…. oh look, one for me!" pasted coupon codes in

"Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon promotion."

Oh, well SCREW YOU TOO, WOOLWORTHS.

Just cancelled the entire order and went with Coles.
