How Long Does Each Bank Take to Issue Credit Card Bonus Points to Your Account?

In my experience churning cards for the past few months most banks are fairly quick, usually the same time as your statement hits, had a few misses though like with ANZ at the moment been waiting a few weeks and still nothing. Wondering what other peoples experiences have been since I know in the T&Cs it usually says "up to 90 days" which seems insane

    • It's never actually 90 days from when you hit the spend limit and it depends on the issuer.

  • ANZ can be bad. A number of people on this deal waited the 90 days and then had to contact the complaints department to finally get them.

I still had the thread bookmarked because a family member had the same experience, also had to go through complaints

    • ANZ credited my points on the next statement after I hit my target spend

    • ANZ are shocking in so many ways, but the NAB are worst.

      • NAB were really quick for me but that’s the ONLY thing they’ve done that has been any good.

That bonus was painful because you had to know to expect the email to prompt you for your Velocity details.

More recently I signed up for an ANZ QFF card and it was credited after the statement was issued where I qualified for the points.

It does differ massively at each bank. I’m still waiting for my Westpac points. Applied for a NAB one after I had made the spend at Westpac then a week after making the minimum spend at NAB I received the points. I don’t like either bank but was shocked at how quickly NAB applied the points.

  • It will usually be after the statement generates. If you've met the bonus points requirement at the time of that statement, the points will come to you.

  • ANZ FF Black Qantas card, I received it on my second statement.
