that's what she said
Is this better than the 2020 Samsung QLED Q60T?
The Samsung Q60/Q60T QLED and the Samsung TU8000 perform quite similarly overall, although the Q60T has a slight edge. The Q60T can get much brighter and has a much wider color gamut, making it a better choice if you plan on watching a lot of HDR content. It also has better gray uniformity, much more accurate colors out-of-the-box, and better gradient performance. On the other hand, the TU8000 has slightly better motion handling thanks to its faster response time.

Thanks for that! I do watch a lot of sports so this one might actually be better considering the better motion rate
Is it hdmi 2.1 and 120hz?
There are only a few TVs available right now with HDMI 2.1 and they are brand new and will not be cheap anytime soon.
no and no its 100hz
Need to jump up to Q70 for that.
Are these all 'smart' as standard now? Like with Netflix built in etc?
Thanks guysyes i have this tv it is a smart tv, but not very fast processor and wifi is a bit slow, other than that amazing tv i bought it at double this price
Smart OS: Tizen
So it runs Samsung's own TV OS and not Android TV but Samsung Tizen usually has all the standard built-in apps you need.
https://www.samsung.com/au/tvs/smart-tv/apps-on-smart-tv/but how is their app store compared to the google play store?
Like a chimp is smart compared to a worm. If you want anything besides the Netflix button always best to ditch the TV os and get a dedicated android or apple box.

https://www.samsung.com/au/tvs/smart-tv/apps-on-smart-tv/Get this or the TCL 75C815?
https://www.tcl.com/au/en/products/c815/75C815.html
TCL has the inbuilt sound bar which is nice and standard 3 years warranty. Don't care about the smart TV features as I have an NVIDIA Shield. TCL is more expensive right now but expected price to drop.
Thoughts?
TCL if money is no object, its not a like for like comparison, one is double the price and different tier of TV
Be aware of these chinese brand TVs that can include backdoors for spying back to Chinese Gov…
https://www.tomsguide.com/news/skyworth-tv-spying
TCL is also under investigation for spying back to Chinese Gov.

Here we go again! I hope you're not on facebook & co. And put on your tin foil hat whilst you're at it too.

"Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said his federal agency was looking into whether Chinese television maker TCL had built security-bypassing "backdoors" into its Android-powered TV sets, as reported in Tom's Guide last month."
Go read the articles, I am not the one saying this, just passing on what is been reported in the media
Is Australian government also wearing tin foil hat when they banned Huawei 5G rollout?
You sound like a gullible fool !!
@pinkybrain: Mate calm your farm with the bold writing. I honestly dont care what the yanks say. Isn't it all too convenient this comes out all of a sudden when theres a trade war. Morrison's the idiot dragging us down by too openly taking sides.
I honestly dont care what the yanks say. Isn't it all too convenient this comes out all of a sudden when theres a trade war.
Yanks only?
Australian government also banned 5g rollout by Huawei..
this was before the current trade war shit that chinese gov have been doing because Australia government wanted a COVID investigation into the origins.Mate calm your farm with the bold writing
I don't give a shit if you don't care and I will bold whatever I want..
This is a free a country, you should move to china if you don't like it.Don't call others wearing a tin foil hat.. if all I am doing is just relaying what was mention in the media.
You must be a dumb trump supporter that only believe QAnon conspiracies rather than any facts.
Try looking at other media besides Fox news or QAnon posts..Why don't you kowtow to your chinese overload while your at.
Morrison's the idiot dragging us down by too openly taking sides.
Morrison's wasn't taking sides, only asked for covid investigation (which was dumb) by doing it alone rather than getting all the other countries to do it together..
Well now the Chinese are using Australia as an example by leveraging trade to get Australia to bow down to them
and forgo any Australian values.Even if Morrison didn't openly take sides as you put it..
the actions would be what would matter to chinese most anyways..
So things like 5g banned, cancelling victoria's belt and road deal, potentially ripping up port of darwin lease etc..
these would matter more than whatever shit is said.So get your facts straight before posting dumb uninformed comments
@pinkybrain: Wow talk about a rant. Why are you so salty in your writing?
You live in a capitalist country. It was all about the money and have always been, get used to it. Priciples in business or whatever they want to term it, only comes in when convenient. Or are you more of a socialist?
Anything with voice activation is a spy in my opinion. It's like paying to bug yourself.
i have this tv its great is this the 2020 model?
This or TCL 75P715? QLED vs LED, but probably better software on this
Noob question here: would you recommend this TV for PS5 and Xbox s/X ?
Get Q70 for 120Hz and VRR.
Just a FYI, this is (TU8000) one of the DO NOT BUY TVs according to r/4ktv.
Below average screen quality but if all you care about is the size (like my missus) then go for it.
Yes… no better than the cheapest no brand Chinese TVs. ~250 nits and 50 Hz with pretty poor color.
" all you care about is the size (like my missus)"
are we still talking about TV here ???????Below average screen quality but if all you care about is the size (like my missus) then go for it.
Your missus should check out the black TVs then..
They are known to be quite big.
Don't get this tv, especially if you are going to use it for PS5/Xbox.
ok thanks for that! I was about to pull the trigger
Why? I have it with a PS5 and it works flawlessly?
what is recommended best value for money TV for next gen console?
I Have a PS5 and it definitely works as intended, what's your reasoning..
This is a 50 Hz TV. I assume it can do 60 Hz when connected to a PC?
Response Time 100Hz who told you its 50hz?
"Response Time" or "Motion Rate" is marketing gibberish Samsung uses to fool customers. You can find the real refresh rates at rtings.com:
- 1080p @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 - Yes
- 1080p @ 120Hz - No
- 1440p @ 60Hz - Yes (native support)
- 1440p @ 120Hz - No
- 4k @ 60Hz - Yes
- 4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 - Yes
- 4k @ 120Hz - No
- 8k @ 30Hz or 24Hz - No

man is it gone now???
