This post just made me realise just how good of a deal the powerbeats I picked up this afternoon were.

This?. Somehow I missed that one today!

Not sure if good comparison. Uncle owns the Freebuds and they are Fuyooooooh!

Much better at noise cancellation, and fits better as well. Smaller charging case, and not lightning.

      • What does "Fuyooooooh" mean? Is it the same as fwoaar (good)?

        • "Fuyoh is used when wow is just not wow enough. This word also can be shortened to fooh or fuh if desired" - Google Search 2021

  • No free freebuds! lol

I didn't use my OG ones (v1) that came with my Huawei phone for 2 years, then I unboxed them used em, they seemed ok but the battery life - it's basically dead already. I hope thye improved that.

    EDIT:

"up to 4 hours of playtime on a single charge "

Yeah that's not a great, brand new product spec, consider manufacturers always pad stuff a bit, so assume 3.5 hours, meaning the battery must be tiny. Presumably, in 18 months the battery will be dying here too.

    • Can you name wireless earphones with more than 4 hours in this form factor? Airpods 2 only manage to squeeze 5 hours.

      • I'm not sure honestly, I've just always been skeptical of these things with tiny tiny micro batteries and how long they last as a reliable product.

Heck this price still might be great, for what you're paying, I just don't like dropping $99 on something which is going to only last a few years. Hopefully somehow it's been imrpoved and at least still does the 3/4 hours in a few years time.

  • This looks good thanks OP! Going to research first if the 3 or newly released 4i's are better.

  • Guys, be careful…the CCP may have backdoor and eavesdropping on your conversation/music :)

    • Oh crap I'm screwed then. The vaccine will give me a blood clot, make me emit 5G and now ontop of the government tracking my phone with the check in app I have the CCP listening to my days of our lives soundtrack.

I'm glad you're joking at least.

  • I've got these and can vouch for their quality. Noise cancelling works really well and battery also lasts me for days.
Great if you have an android and they are equivalent to airpods in my opinion.
