Woolworths Satisfaction Guarantee (Anyone Used This?)

Has anyone ever gone back to refund/replace an item that had their 100% satisfaction guarantee?

I got some frozen chicken bites and they were pretty bad. I don’t have the receipt but if I go in with just the box I’m not sure if they’ll give me anything. I read their guarantee regarding fresh or free but I wasn’t sure if the satisfaction was the same.

I have returned something without the receipt. Loaf of bread that went mouldy overnight. They just gave me a new one and it lasted the average that time. No questions asked.

      The average? So two nights?

    • I had the same situation with bread. They refunded AND gave me a fresh loaf of bread.

If it’s their home brand then I’m sure they will do it.

Used to work at coles about a decade ago and anything homebrand we just returned no questions asked.

I work at Woolworths, definitely we will provide a refund even without a receipt

    • What's the story with the bananas? Why do so many of them go bad overnight once they have left the store's cold storage?
Also, the hot cross buns were frozen this year and put out on shelves to thaw. Same with lamingtons. Fresh food people?

    • Thanks for that! I’ve never done it but this is the first time the whole family really disliked something with that guarantee. Thank you.

    • Is this still relevant? I bought the caramel cake for my birthday and it's absolutely awful that no one wants to eat it 😂

  • From what staff have told me, amounts $5 or less they will refund in cash without a receipt - amounts over $5 without a receipt will be refunded via a store/gift card.

I often tell the guy at the Deli that I "demand satisfaction" and slap him with my glove.

    • And were you satisfied if he slapped you back?

    • Did he respond with a slice of turkey?

  • i have done it with their homebrands. no reciept required. no questions asked. it was for an item that i did not like the taste of as well.

  • I've used it for fresh fruit and veg guarantee
Refunded the product plus replaced it for free

  • I've returned avocados that were beautiful, but pretty bad inside. No issues, replaced with good ones.

  • On WW branded product, always fine no receipt, and will never be an issue.

Non WW branded product, my experience has also been the same. Ymmv.

  • I swapped some bacon the other week. Pack had a slight tear that I didn't notice when buying, bacon was well and truly off.

  • I often return their rotten bananas. The ones you buy that are almost ripe, still partly green but the next day they are bruised and rotten. I suspect they have been in cold storage for years.

I often return their rotten bananas.

I had to return all the bent ones… No quality control these days…

    • Why would anyone spend $$$ on cold storage when bananas grow cheap and plentiful in most years? We might just be getting shit bananas this year because i've had this problem with other supermarkets and independent fruit stores this year

  • They will normally give you a refund without one, a receipt is just preferred because it makes the process a whole lot faster/easier.

  • Just thought I’d come back to say I had no trouble at all. Just asked if I wanted to be contacted for feedback and gave me money from the register.
