Sale plus incoming upgrade makes it a prime plus candidate when the update drops.

Well worth $25 though. I've never seen a Star Wars movie but had a great time with the game.

    • What is the performance like? On the fence about it because of the stuttering etc and there’s not much feedback on whether it was fixed with patches or not.

      • I can't say I noticed any performance issues. Played on a One X though.

I finished it on standard PS4 and it ran great.

        • How long ago was that? I’m guessing that some of the performance issues were ironed out. I’ve the PS4 Pro with ssd so I’m not expecting to see the issues as shown in the digital foundry video.

The patches since do appear to have optimised the game. Guess I’ll have to give it a shot.

          • @Trickey: I just finished the game on PS4 Pro (about a week ago). I only really had one major technical issue and that was with one cutscene that stuttered badly every 2-3 seconds. I thought it was my disc, but a quick Google search ("PS4 cutscene stuttering fallen order reddit" potential story spoilers if you look at the reddit post) showed this was a common issue for this one cutscene. If you had this issue then you will know the cutscene.

Overall, the game seemed a bit undercooked at times, but I still really really enjoyed the game. Hope this helps.

          • @Trickey: I played it over a year ago.

      • It runs fine on Ps5, I have not noticed any issues.

I’d be very disappointed if the performance on PS5 was problematic.

      • performance is solid. the load times on PS5 while not as bad as last gen, are still bad enough to be annoying though, i dont think its utilising the SSD at all… thankfully its not as unforgiving as an actual souls game.

What update? As far as I've read, this games getting no more support for next-gen. Any further improvements would require a complete re-release on PS5 anyway.

I bought the deluxe at $45 or something the other month, after holding out. Honestly, it was an alright game, I enjoyed the story line, but disappointed I didn't wait for this price… $25 feels about what its worth. It's only worth playing, if you have played all the last-gen must haves like God of War/Sekiro, which it tries to be massively. Its disappointing there wasn't an absolute knockout Star Wars game last gen.

Disappointed at the load times, which being a souls style game is probably what turned me off the most about getting the game on PS4. Loads were still awful on PS5, as its not getting the SSD performance at all.

      • omg okay, just read about the PS5 upgrade announced the other day… well extra annoying i didnt wait a little longer.

Best story based star wars game in a long time.

Not quite a 10/10 for me, but pretty fun.

thanks for this mate, was hoping to get it on PC

      • EA Pass is $7 a month, I just got it for a month and finished the game

  • One of the best pieces of Star Wars content in a while. Definitely recommend this game

I was certainly not expecting it to actually be a good story. I can't believe I didn't see a couple of story beats coming but they were really effective for me.

    • Do i need to have finished Rebels S04 to get the most out of the game's story?

      • +2

Nah Its set 10 years prior to rebels. but I would recommend watching all the clone wars It makes tons of references so definitely watch them before playing this game. Which i wish i had done

        • Rightio, thanks for the tip!

Got a out 10 hours into this and walked away. First game I've given up on in many years. Hated the characters and story, gameplay was repetitive and boring.

    • Agreed. Super linear game where you’re forced to solve puzzles and try out new attack moves to get past enemies. Just felt like the same thing over and over with a few wow moments inbetween.

  • I really enjoyed it

  • The only reason I'm wary about getting this is because I'm thinking they might stick it on PS+. A load of people got burnt with Control a few months ago after picking up Ultimate at Black Friday and Christmas sales.

  • Great game, is included with Xbox game pass, if you have Xbox.

  • Does the pS4 version stutter like the PC version? Something about the hard drive cache?

    • never had any stutter on PC
