This is the type of monitor you find for free on the side of the road on cleanup day hahaha.

Pretty crap when you can get something made this decade for a little more eg https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/620280

OOS but not a rare price.

  • Isn't 24" FHD is very cheap now?

  • +4

I've seen these in Op shops for $10.

Video Inputs: DisplayPort, DVI-D, VGA D-Sub

no hdmi.. so i will pass on this one.. thanks!

    • Probably a joke but HDMI to Displayport is a cheap and easy adapter

      • +3

To convert HDMI to Displayport you need an active adapter to insert the metadata that the Displayport monitor expects or it won't work

Converting the the other way (Displayport to HDMI) just needs a passive dongle

        • +3

People that neg you have no idea, I have an old Dell monitor with display port and DVI, HDMI to Display port cable won't work this way, as you said need active adapter.

The other way display port from computer to HDMI monitor will just need passive dongle or cable.

          • @superforever: Didn't neg, that's wild. I had one that's the other way round (HDMI screen) and it was a $3 Ebay cable.

            • @Merlict:

the other way round (HDMI screen)

Cheap cable or adapter will work with this case.

Also USB-C to Display port cable will also work, I have one for the Lenovo WFH.

this monitor is literally a decade old, as others said you can find these for free or $20 at most second hand, $110 for this is one of the biggest jokes i've seen on this website lmao

if you really need something cheap you can spend a bit more for a brand new dell 75hz ips (24 inch) for like $140, otherwise you can get something really cheap second hand (i recently bought a nice 24 inch ips for $50 that would blow this out of the water despite being less than half the price)

Wow, L-Plater of 12 years, don't see that very often. Congrats on your first post.

    • +26

Yeah he found these monitors 12 years ago and was just waiting for the right timing.

    This is a joke, right?

Someone actually saw this information and bought it

    • Ha ha d***d ( 1 ) bought it an hour ago because of this post.

Meanwhile a day ago, you could have paid $10 more for a 24" 1080p with up to date IO.

    • I wouldn't call DP out of date. Unless it's v1.

  • O.O

  • +3

I would be more interested in a 4:3 monitor than this.

  • +3

    Any CRT’s?

No idea why everyone is downvoting. Op is obviously time traveling from 2009.

    • +1

From GFC to a pandemic. That's really bad luck!

  • Do you have 19" dell monitors? I want to recreate my office set up at home

  • can this overclock to 360hz? on VGA?

  • +2

You would really need to be out of touch with technology to even consider paying money for this…

    Terrible product. Terrible deal.
How has this got any positive votes?
