I got the 500GB HDD version in Dec '10 for $589. No problems with online computer but I've had the Acer back to the service centre twice already (dead HDD and dead USB). I must admit Acer support have been great with very quick turnarounds, but it shouldn't be going in for regular servicing in the first place.
That's why I said up to your own preference. I had an acer laptop from online computer too. I also had it for repairs twice before and still having the same problem.
But its really cheap. Some people may care more about price and can tolerant some problems from the laptop.
