Nice monitors these - much more comfortable than a chest strap, but more accurate than a wrist device. I have one of the old ones, and it's still going strong (albeit with some reduced battery capacity).
Having Bluetooth and ANT+ is very useful too.
No luck getting my wife to use one though, so may or may not be a great mothers' day gift!
