  • Examples of discounted last minute flights and cruises please?

      This App provides a closed user group for airlines and other suppliers to offer exclusive and last minute deals directly to that group and cannot be advertised on mass. Some of these discounted fares can be offered within an hour or two of the flight's departure, considering at that point those seats would fly empty otherwise. This gives airlines, in particular, the ability to sell seats they were not able to before, directly to the group, hence the discount.

    Hit and miss I guess. MEL SYD flight for $55 with Jetstar ($59 on Jetstar website). But MEL HBA for today starts at $138 when Jetstar sells it for $65.

      Not sure if there's a bit of confusion with this one? I have just performed a search also MEL HBA today and CMFx Jetstar flights are from $120, compared with $135 for the same flight.

      Might be worth having another look.

      Art this stage we cannot add your Frequent Flyer or Jetstar Membership details to your Profile on the App, but it is a feature that will be released in the very near future.

    Does the fact that this app shows a lower price and THEN ads taxes and fees to that fare - later in the booking process - … breach the ACCC's airfare advertising requirements?

    • I'd say they're not actually advertising so maybe.

      All taxes are included in the advertised fare on the App. The only addition is a $5 booking fee, which is displayed very clearly on the payment page, before you check out. We do not hide any taxes, fees or charges.

  • I have requested refund on 23/08/2020 due to a cancellation of my flight. Your customer service advised me that the refund would be settled within 16 weeks. But until today I have not received my refund yet.
    I Contacted CMF customer service but no one responded to me.

      Sincerest apologies for the delay, CheckMyFares are working with a skeleton staff at the moment and are doing their very best to get to everyone as quickly as possible.

      In a non-pandemic world, airline refunds can take up to 12 weeks to process and when COVID canceled almost every flight at once, the process has become very congested, as you can imagine, and has blown those processing times right out. This is one of the reasons the CMFx App was created; you can book when you get to the airport, not 6 weeks out from departure when borders can be closed and flights can be cancelled at any time. In a post-COVID world, we want to give customers as much control over their own bookings as possible.

      I can assure you the team is getting to all emails and doing their absolute best to get refunds processed and funds back to customers as quickly as possible. Can you advise your CMF Reference Number, so I can escalate your request to the Customer Care Manager?

  • I entered the promo code while registering but still got charged $49 annual subscription! I have requested for refunds but havent got any response yet.

      Once you enter the Promo Code and click apply at Registration, you should have been given immediate access to the App. Not sure why you entered your credit card details or why you would have been charged with this code?
