    Excellent price for this monitor.

    I respectfully disagree.

I wouldn't touch a refurbished monitor, especially when the same monitor when brand new in recent days, weeks and months have gone for only slightly more than this deal shipped.

They clearly struggled to move them from this deal or regularly get returns (maybe even returned refurbished monitors).

Don't risk this happening to you and then having to return such a bulky item. It would drive me insane knowing there is a dead pixel or two. Why else would they have so much refurbished stock coming in regularly if it wasn't returns from dead pixel as the most likely reason?

I don't have much experience with this and other refurb monitors, but why is refurb such a problem? Is the warranty or quality expectations any different?

And why is returning a problem? I thought seller pays return postage on faulty goods in Australia?

      • You are buying a second hand monitor. Nothing wrong with that if it's priced accordingly but these are not.

Product Condition: Minor scratch, good condition or have 1 small Dead/Colour Pixel
Working in Order with 6 Months Warranty

Not far off the price of a new one, but with only 6 months warranty and the chance or dead or stuck pixels?

Also sellers aren't liable for return costs on all products, though these might be considered bulky enough to qualify.

        • Thanks, I had missed that.

  • is it the same as this one ?

should pay a bit more for a new one.

Nothing worse than a bright dead pixel in the middle of the screen

  • +4

Honestly this is just a bad deal for a refurb when there are so many annoying things that can go wrong with a screen

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/617289 was only $10 more for brand new.

    Bad deal

$419 for a new one barely a week ago.

Should be $350 or less for a refurb imo.

    • +1

Yeah even then I'd have to think about it.

  • +11

    have 1 small Dead/Colour Pixel

    That's not a refurb, that's just defective.

  • +2

    No deal it's a refurb

  • If there's one thing I'd never ever buy refurb, it's things with screens. The bar for "it works" is far lower then "it's broken" imo

    • Why upvote deal then?

      • No reasons required for pos votes

      • +1

Upvoted before I saw the [Refurb] so that's my bad, I thought it was a pretty good deal new

        • All good. Hope weekend is treating you well

  • Pay a bit more to get brand new with warranty.

  • Pay $50 more and get a new one. BTW this monitor is sick!

      BTW this monitor is sick!

      has it been tested?

      /s

      • bought this model months ago and feeling so good.

      • Positive

  • Too many people posting fear mongering statements… The only logical reasons to neg this is it's a bad price and dead pixels policy is bad. Otherwise refurbs can be a great way to get items really cheap.

    • +3

      No no. Not at all.

Product Condition: Minor scratch, good condition or have 1 small Dead/Colour Pixel

You're literally buying a monitor WITH a dead/bright pixel out of the box.

  • Agree that knowingly buying a monitor with a deal/bright pixel for only slightly less than new isn't a good deal. Wait for a decent deal on a new one to avoid disappointment
