    Single use hair razor. Nice

    • +2

i think you are right, I bought this years ago. From memory the trimmer wasnt any good/lasted, but I still have the scisssor!

      • +3

They aren’t great quality . I prob have gone through 3-4 of them in the past 10 years but my wahl one is still goign strong after 2-3 years

        • +33

So on average both brands last for approximately the same number of years?

          • +3

@bio: If his Wahl dies soon, yeah ;)

            • +1

@strangeloops66: If his Wahl is a Made in USA model, it should last decades.

              • @1st-Amendment: My Wahl is going for 4 years. It is a battery operated one I both whilst living in the Uk. I think I paid 18 Pounds

              • +1

@1st-Amendment: mine stopped charging as soon as warranty was out

          • @bio: The Wahl's still going strong he said. If it were the Remington it would've been dead around this time.

            • +1

@RockyK9: I was joking, but still, that comment doesn't tell us anything about Wahl being better than Remington. It might break tomorrow like the Remingtons they purchased in the past did. I'm sure Remingtons were "going strong" before they broke too.

              • +1

@bio: My Remington lasted an average of 1.5 years . They tend to have issues with the motor most of the time .

              • @bio: It was a good joke. You got a lot of people saying "yeah, that's true" without thinking it through

          • -1

@bio: wow a lot of people upvoted some pretty poor logic here

      • I used to buy these to trim my dog’s coat. It would not last long (let’s face it, it is a biggish job and dog hair is quite coarse in comparison to humans), only about five trims and I would toss it for another. But heaps cheaper than a groomer or a dedicated set of dog clippers.

At this price if I still had little Bilbo I would stock up a few years’ supply!

        • Curious. What was Bilbo's breed? I would assume that these wouldn't trim a long-ish coat, at all.

          • +1

@bio: Miniature Schnauzer/poodle crossbreed. More like a coarse wool. About 28 microns at a guess based on my woolclassing youth.

        • +1

          Humans can be quite coarse.

    • +9

Do you recommend I cancel my order? Please let me know. I don't want to buy something that is junk, regardless of price.

      • +5

cancel it, this is unadulterated junk.

        • could also probably return/refund easy since it's Amazon

      • +3

I mean, it's literally just $7, lol bro

        • +25

Yes, but I don't want to be an active participant in helping companies sell e-waste.

          • +2

@overpriced: Thanks overpriced for posing the Question. Had been caught a few times: bought for cheap but then unusable. Even had a few "friends" dumped items like these on me. It seems like these people can find someone else to dump crappy items, they can completely wash off their guilts and continue speaking green.

          • @overpriced: this makes me cringe, its an ULTRA LOW END product, what do you expect?
Why did you even order in the first place?

            • +2

@nikoris: I had no idea it was a low-end product when ordering, which is why I asked earlier if I should cancel. Anyway, I cancelled my order soon after making it.

We live in a world now where laptops have become less and less modular (core components soldered to the mainboard) and phones have non-removable batteries (without surgery which almost nobody is prepared to do or pay for). Even 'high end' products follow the waste philosophy. Buy, dispose & re-buy. It's really disgusting.

      • +1

        It's junk.
Why pay over and over for junk when you can buy quality that will last a lifetime.

      • Yes, buy a made in USA Wahl when on 50% off at Shaver Shop

      • I bought a Wahl set for $20 at Shavershop just recently. Sounds like money much better spent

    • +1

We bought one a decade ago and it is still going strong - I do have to make sure I have conditioned my hair before any cut (to stop any potential ripping/pulling) and I still get a No.6 every month.

      • +12

        I still get a No.6 every month.

        Username does not check out.

        • love the feeling of my hair being pulled

    Thanks…

      • 7

        • And its $7 for 7 years

          • +1

@BargainBuddy: Not bad, 2 for a tenner - I'd consider giving that a perfect score!

        • +2

You must be JV's husband with a name like that.

  • What can you buy for $7 these days. Great find. Thanks!

if you want something that will last longer. Pay it self back in two cuts instead of 1.

    • thanks, just ordered one…

    • +3

      Who's paying $30 for a haircut…

      • ??????

      • Last time I went before my Wahl, the hairdresser asked for "just 40" for shampoo and cut.

        • my barber was charging $26, but my hair starts growing out of place within days. I've paid $35 at hairdresser the last few times, but the results are still hit and miss.

I finally convinced my wife she could do just as good a job… we shall see this weekend

          • +2

            @SlickMick: Good luck!
I bought Wahl, watched YouTube tutorials, and so far has done 4 hair trims for hubby and kids. Results were not exactly barber quality but acceptable. Money well spent.

      • the people paying $100 for shavers

    • +2

Got one of these just over a year ago. Have cut my hair more than 10 times and would highly recommend. Make sure to sign up get the $10 off your first order if you haven't already

      • i didnt get to use my $10 a month ago.. so what do…?

    • $10 off on first order.. Thanks

    • Cheers, ordered one as well

  • +2

    I paid $9 OMG I want a refund!!@ 🤣

    • Buy this one. Don't open it send return request on the $9 one. Profit. Until it becomes $5 in the next deal

      • He’d be losing money actually because the return postage isn’t free.

        • -1

          Amazon return is free.

          • -1

@Jaduqimon: It’s not if it’s a change of mind. You could still get it free of course if you be dishonest about something, e.g. damage the item and say that’s how it came.

    • me too!!! :D

  • +3

I have bought it from last deal.
    Complete rubbish. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • +1

      What problems did you have?

      • +2

Did not cut short hair properly. Also not powerfull.
It's not really what a personal hair trimmer should be.

        • My one works well. You need to zero gap the blades before you use it or it'll obviously not cut well.

          • @Jai: oh I need to try it

            • +1

@shahrah: Be very careful and very precise with how you align it, especially when tightening the screws as it can move the blades. If you have the bottom teeth extend further than the top 'guard' ones it'll tear your skin.

  • +3

For those wondering, this is not private friendly.

    • can you please elaborate?

      • +9

Don't use it on your genitals.

        • Should be okay for the ladies…

        • -3

    • +4

Does it ask too many questions?

    • +11

We thank you for your sacrifice

    • +6

Why? Did you cut your tree instead of trimming it?

      • +2

He cut the tree instead of the forest.

  • +2

    Thats cheaper than $10 haircut

  • +1

Could this be used on dogs? Or are dog trimmers different?

    • depends on your dog. but nah usually doesn't work well.

    • Dogs have a lot more coarse hair, hence why they make dedicated models for dogs.
You will likely ruin your clippers and hurt your dog every time it jams on the poor thing.

    • +2

Please dont even think of using it on your dog/pets. Those trimmers are designed with different blades, bigger gap, sharpness and high motor rpm.
However on the other hand you may use a Pet trimmer for human haircut :)
